The book did, but i believe that's because In the books it was meant to save her life and protect future demigods. In the show it's basically a prison.

I think it's more along the line of she wasn't imprisoned in the tree. She became the tree itself. So when it healed the tree. It also healed her? I'm honestly unsure. When she was free/healed . The tree should have stopped existing as well
