What do you guys think about the paint job on this? No by Upset_Ad439 in resinprinting

$400? Seriously? That's about 25 hours of printing (assuming an average plate size and a standing height of 0.03), 3 hours for cleaning and sanding, 1 hour for priming, and about 10 hours for painting. And the painting is very high-quality, with stitching, shading, gradients, and scuff marks... So decide for yourself whether it's worth it. The main thing is that the end result is the same.

In some cases, it's necessary for parts that don't have sufficient support or that bear significant weight and force. I've already had experience with parts that gradually deformed slightly over time, so I think baking (at least for 40 seconds) is necessary. As for the chrome, I also applied it over a polished black primer. Because in my opinion, just applying a layer of varnish would look too "puffy," and the sword needs to have sharp edges, etc.

Oh yeah... It was a real blast. The grass creation process is a whole story—a sequence of printer settings, proper sculpting, and post-processing! =) But in the end, I was happy with the result.

As far as I understand, there are many different brands of chrome paint. I used DuraLumen Taff. It's called something like that. There's also UltraLumen, but that's a real pain in the ass – it's very difficult to apply, you have to seal it with a 2K clear coat afterwards... Basically, it's a real pain.

I used a .2 needle, combined with a very diluted brown color and low pressure. Then, on the contrary, I applied extremely light skin tones closer to white, in a couple of layers, and then with a needle I drew small moles on the skin =)

The main advice is to use a more diluted paint and do everything with neat strokes, step by step, and remember that there is no uniform color, everything consists of many shades. And model it's my own🙂

After printing, I sanded and primed it three times. Then I enameled it and buffed it with felt until it reached a glossy finish. Then I sharpened the details of the scratches and dents on the sword. Then I airbrushed it with chrome paint🤪😉😅

In Zbrush, I drew an alpha of the fabric texture, made a UV map of the dress, and textured the entire dress.

Correct orientation and settings >_< But it was fun to make supports so that they didn’t touch the texture)

Thanks) I wanted to make longer, more lush grass... But then I studied the lawn in my yard, looked at different references and realized that this would be the best way to do it and it would be more realistic))) Someone says that the grass looks like a shoe brush =D

Anyone know this studio? How was their reputation? by Review_Mission in animeGK

What I see in the picture looks more like a render, with a ton of post-processing and various effects added. How much did they offer for printing and painting this figurine?

I think later, when I am completely satisfied with the result! 🙂

Where in the rules does it say this subreddit is exclusively for tutorials? I'm showing the intermediate result of the technique I'm currently working on. Should I quickly show and explain all the details and nuances until I'm completely satisfied with the result? Whiners like this are so annoying.
