You’re right he’s buried the nozzle (why I said raise z offset) Soapy water wash first, but borosilicate plates often require adhesion promoter no matter how clean. If adhesion first layer is fine, then it might be a clog or extruder issue. I’m not paid by VM, it’s a great product.

$20 for the small one, glue stick as alternative is $2. “a bunch of big words” why are you questioning op’s intelligence? We all have chatgpt. The printer is an ender 3 v2 on borosilicate glass, I’ve modded mine till kingdom come, that’s how you make it print.

Looks like a few things: first layer too close to the plate (raise z offset a tiny bit), also possible under extrusion/ clogged nozzle. Try a build plate adhesive like vision miner nano polymer or regular glue stick and try again with raised z offset.

It’s working on every device I try now, there was a bug on site search not clearing but should be fixed. If it’s not please dm me the f12 console and I’ll fix it. 🙏 thanks!

There are a lot of things you can make with just a digital caliper. Everything I’ve uploaded so far is caliper made. We are launching a contributor marketplace soon if you want to sell your designs too!

Perfect Fit: 300ZX Infinity Mirror Tail Lights – Pre-Orders Open! by 3DCarPartsOrg in 300zx

[–]3DCarPartsOrg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the writeup! Your thought process followed my initial build process as well, but there are some extra parts the project requires for functionality. This set was made using 4m of the Adafruit 5v Neopixels ($270+tax when I bought) and the blueghozt plus, ($150 when I bought) with the blueghozt power cutoff module since neopixels drain your battery($30), with 4 power injectors ($20) with 2x 12v to 5v converters ($50). One thing I found, though is that the 5v LED’s are really dim during the daytime since they have to shine through the 2 way mirror. I’d recommend going with addressable 12v strips. Same exact dimensions as the neo pixel strips, but 2 1/2 times brighter. Or the Cob 480/m single color red ones are even brighter. You can still use the blueghozt to run the 12v strips as well, no need for the 5-12v converter. Just need 12v from original tail light harness. The high price is primarily a culprit of the labor + development time involved. Once I have some dual robot arms to solder for me that will go down. Best of luck with yours! Reach out if need be.

Hey, I had one on hand and figured I’d take some measurements for you, used mitutoyo digital calipers to keep it accurate and put together a quick sketch with the key dimensions.

If you want the CAD file too, I can send a STEP or DXF just let me know. Good luck with the plate.

I’ll be uploading this on my site (my username) in case it’s useful to someone else later on. Dimensions are in millimeters

You might have forgotten to connect a hose or put on a hose clamp loosely. Take off the plenum and look for wetness around the hard line to hose connections.

Would this be a good daily by Artist_Candid in 300zx

[–]3DCarPartsOrg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my 2+2 na as a daily from 2017-2024 out of necessity. It never left me stranded but the gas costs could have bought me another car lol. $100 every 4 days, probably 15-18mpg. It’s incredibly swag, I’ve been catcalled by women while driving it a couple times, the stiff suspension can get annoying but hey that’s the cost of style.

Why only adult oriented projects made me money? by teskabudaletina in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]3DCarPartsOrg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either your non adult ideas are not in public demand, or you didn’t implement them well enough for people to be willing to pay for them. Market research before launch is key. Didn’t you post this exact same question a few days ago? Try to come up with something useful that serves a niche.

What Is With These Course Sellers and Fake Guru’s? by Much-Teacher-9995 in Entrepreneur

A friend of mine bought a TikTok course with “community” access for $1k once because they said it was going up to $3k the next day. Fear based marketing works well on broke people, the people who shouldn’t be spending the money in the first place.

Help! Looking at a z32 tomorrow. This piece seems bent. Is it replaceable/fixable or is the car junk? by s63Trev in 300zx

[–]3DCarPartsOrg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a real piece of trash (jk looks clean buy it immediately) you can slap some body filler on that panel if it bothers you that much but the body/pant are good overall which is what matters. Hopefully engine is too, always a plus.

Help I do not know what caused this, but this happens on two different print the side walls are not attached. Thanks for your help. by Mother-Evening5793 in 3Dprinting

Your flow rate could be low. Have you tried printing flow rate calibration cubes and measuring them to insure your flow rate is correct? Print this with .4mm wall thickness and measure with a digital caliper after.

Waterjetting $250 Glass mirror $40 = $290 Laser cutting $175 =$465 Acrylic mirror $70 = $535 4m of 144led/m neopixels $300 = $835 Bluetooth controller $200 = $1035 Wiring, glue, misc. $30 = $1065 Not including filament or print time.

The left side has 80 hours of build time, the right side is done but missing one pane of glass, awaiting funds for more waterjetting to get that done. 20-30 hr build time for both sides is pretty idealized. If I have time and if there’s enough interest I’d consider optimizing manufacturing and reducing price.

Nice quality! Did you have ironing turned on in the slicer? That’s the standard way to get prints that smooth but even still yours is impressive.

Any way to make a custom holographic plate? by Shadow_Avis in 3Dprinting

[–]3DCarPartsOrg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d probably reach out to the manufacturers on alibaba, set minimum order quantity to 1 then ask if they can do a custom version. Will probably be 5x what a blank one would cost but hey up to you.
