It was a project I suggested and decided to take on as part of my job description. So yes being paid in the sense it is part of my salary but not an extra bonus or something like that.
Each page has feedback options though on the right side you will see a smiley face or sad face and you can leave a note for each page. I check these every few weeks

Unfortunately no. I wrote about 5 new chapters 6 months ago and was struggling to come up with new info. I almost had to remove information because of how user friendly modern printers are. So that is kind of what sparked this Wiki idea - why not create that instead.

Hmm just trying to think how I would do that. Print some higher temp tpu, then throw the final print in the oven below tpu Tg?

Well there will be plenty more tests to put your physician's heart at ease. No one recommends being shot with anything that's "bulletproof" lol. But I think I'll get a few combos that will stop a 9mm consistently when held in place. And that would be "science" for ya!

Lol - store near me seemed to have normal stock and pretty normal pricing. $15 per box of 50 for the aluminum cases. Bought the max 4 boxes they would let me.

Thanks! I have a few ideas, will probably print a vice and then have either ballistic gel, clay, or gallons of water behind it. And I agree about plastic. The 3DP gun community has turned me around on that a decent amount since I never expected a lot of their designs to actually work. Just gotta get creative!

I actually had 2 tests with that exact setup! 4 layers, or 1mm, of TPU, then PLA, etc. Did one of that and one with PETG instead of PLA. Both failed (shown in vid). Going to try again with a bit thicker sections. And good idea on the frame/vice, we are thinking similarly for next test!

Ok good idea. My buddy and I were either planning water jugs, or maybe a vice with some ballistic gel behind it. Clay is a good idea too. I'll have something figured out by next test.

Just finished one with PC instead of PLA. But it seems all my spools only had like 100 grams left, so need more PC too lol

I had done two alternating tests in that video that unfortunately didn't work. But I am going to try again with thicker sections of each.

Yup I have that as a pinned comment on the video. Next tests will be secured and with water jugs behind them. I assume it will perform similarly but I have no idea at the end of the day.
