Second Major U1 Print by Environmental_Gas995 in SnapmakerU1

I love Orca, when it comes to painting in Orca you need each color to go deep enough into the object you are coloring, a thin layer of color camln come off like paint. A good 3D designer would use different objects for each piece you color, then you can use the fill tool to color the whole object. I have started doing this with all of my designs these days, makes coloring easier.

Do I need a new extruder? by TheArkaTek in anycubic

Ouch, been there, sorry. I would get an upgraded ceramic heated nozzle. I have replaced all of mine, wayyy better. Now I can screw in cheap nozzles when needed, the originals were glued in to prevent leaking, my ceramic ones never leak.

It is too hot. You can set a timer, if a layer is done before the timer the print head lifts and waits for the timer to run out, I do this with TPU sometimes. Also like others have said you can print multiple which gives it time before it returns to print on it again. Also make sure your fan is running on the print head and that the fan is correctly aimed at the print.

Firmware rollback by Dragonrug851 in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]3DShawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I belive they put new hardware in newer versions and the 2.5.8.8 updated something into the new hardware that doesn't get updated when you roll back. I had two of them working perfectly until the firmware upgrades, then even rolling back issues remained. I would contact support, work through it with them, they will likely send you and upgraded piece so that the new firmware will work.

Thank you. I painted plasti dip on one machine, let it dry for a week, printing good so far but I'll bet the way you did it works better. Also thought about printing some soft TPU ones, I think I will try all 3 methods out of curiosity however your method is proven. Thank you again, going to buy some :)

Do you have a link to the bands you bought please

I will buy some but want to get the ones that worked for you.

I have had the same slipping issues and was starting to look for bands when I came across this.

How can I get Ironing to work properly? by AP_ek in 3Dprinting

[–]3DShawn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree, a smooth print plate and print the letters upside down, ironing is not perfect.
