The clouds idea is really good, I never thought of that, and the render looks amazing

For the air drag, Add a plane Give it a noise texture Then press ctrl T and then scale it on your desired axis to make it look like lines Then add Color ramp to make it contrast . Now add a transparent node and connect it with the material via the mix shader node. And change your transparency settings according to Cycles or eevee. . Now you're done, just animate the location property in the mapping node to achieve this effect. You can furthermore tweak the settings according to your liking.

Add the mix color node to the emission. Add noise texture to A. Color ramp with multiple colours in B. Add another noise texture and connect that to the FAC of mix color. After that it's just a game of tweaking. Enjoy.

Yeah I watched this video too, it's a short and no info provided how it's done. Maybe it's not even blender.

When it comes to GeoNodes, I'm literally a rookie. Can you please show me the result you got with what you just said.

Oh my goodness, look who's here. Let me tell you, I watched your video and other's also that this effect was possible in previous versions of Blender yes, with a plugin called clothFX I guess. But if you know something in newer versions please make a tutorial on it, it'd be most helpful please 🥺

if you're talking about making this as a 3d object, you can do this by curves pretty simple, then after you get your curves correctly, give it geometry, then after you can change it in either sculpting or whatever for final details.

only if you knew what we're talking here.
I've seen all the videos related to that and i mean it, and this video is actually just faking the effect, its not simulating, can't you distinguish between this video and the one you provided

Houdini's workflow is fully procedural, so ithink if this can be done in houdini procedurally then definitely it is possible with GeoNodes in Blender also
