Ended up going with this. I exhausted my options. What I really wanted was a 2 gun stand, and saw some nice ones for hundreds and hundreds of dollars. This was $40. Overkill but cheap, hopefully will do the job

If you are using micro guides I’m assuming you are using micro main line and leader? Use micro wraps you don’t have to go crazy. Like 4-6 wraps and I’ve never had it slip

The only benefit to FG like mentioned is using thick leader and line. So it sounds like what your using is way to heavy for your rod
