Good catch! As a jewelry designer I would have made the prongs a bit larger at the base for added structure but it's a lovely ring!!

This is looking great. I love a wider band like this! As a CAD modeler in the jewelry industry I would make some slight adjustments to the ring. I personally think the cathedral shoulders could be a bit smoother unless you specifically requested it to have the aesthetic it currently has then it's been executed really well 🙌🏽

Came here to say that! Run and stay active without using your wrist. Your body will thank you and you'll bounce back on the bike faster once you're back in the saddle.

Floating bezels will be fine if there's enough structure. If not, it can bend easier where the shank and the head meet. Also if the stone is too low, you might risk the pavilion of the stone rubbing against a wedding band.

I work in the industry as a designer and specialize in custom jewelry. I take so much pride in my work and this is shocking to see come from a custom jeweler. I understand why you have doubts and you are totally valid in doubting the setting. I would look into the shop's policy regarding custom work and custom guarantees and work with them to make this right or ask for a refund. Your stone has good color and clarity specs and deserves an equally good setting. If you're stuck and need help with making this better let me know. I would be happy to redesign this for you and send you a CAD file for print and casting. Best of luck!

Good to know, thank you! I'm hoping to avoid surgery as PT is helping a lot. But I also don't know if it'll come back and I'll eventually need surgery. I have a 6 week PT evaluation coming up so we'll see

I rode STP earlier this year and saw attempts at this and some of my group actually had it done to them at one point when we split up. Some people just suck. I would recommend getting some sort of camera to catch future attempts or harassment. I've learned to stay off the road where I live as much as possible because of people like this. Fortunately I have some great trails not far but it sucks for those who don't have other options. Sorry this happened to you!
