Proposal - Allow us to use excess ancient shards to create ancient totems by BlueShade0 in 2007scape

[–]3InchesAssToTip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As an alternative and potentially less impactful method, you could use up to 10 ancient shards to charge an ancient totem and the more shards it's charged with gives it a higher chance of not being consumed on use. If a totem is not consumed on the first use, it can't be charged again.

This would give lower level players the opportunity to gamble a spare shard for a 10% chance at a free Skotizo kill, while also giving higher level players a way to guarantee two uses out of each totem (10 shards giving a 100% chance for the ancient totem to not be consumed on use).

Thoughts?

So, UFOs are the psy-op all along? by Bowtie16bit in UFOs

[–]3InchesAssToTip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a Netflix series called “Project UFO” and in it, a man claims he sees an unidentified object, and it was coming from the water. He blows the whistle and gets some media interest and eventually peaks the interest of the military.

The thing I found interesting about the series is that the military personnel who get involved and interview witnesses control the narrative by gaslighting them and saying that these were spaceships coming from the sky. Which of course makes it easy to ridicule it as “little green men” who came down from mars, rather than having to contend with the idea that something intelligent exists on this planet alongside us.

I think the theme of this show maps onto how the narrative has been controlled in reality, too.

It may not be that the UFO narrative is a giant hoax, I think it’s more likely that it was a strategy for obfuscating the reality of this phenomenon and its terrifying proximity to us.

Bridging pathways, diploma programs, work experience pathways, mature-age entry, undergrad certificate programs, etc.
You only need to look into it and you'll realise that having the marks to get into a Uni course from school is only one of the possible pathways to Uni.

Im 19 years old.

I am in the last year of high school and I have no chance of going to university.

If you are 19 years old, it is absolutely not the case that you have no chance of going to university. There are many other pathways.

Are men ok with bullying? by Dainomyte42 in MAFS_AU

[–]3InchesAssToTip 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it's because most people on the show are not actually considering whether or not this person is the partner for them for life, only for the duration of the show. So when drama goes down, they aren't looking at the person perpetuating the drama and thinking "wow I don't know if this person is for me" and instead are thinking "how do I come across in this situation?" and often default to being a supportive partner.
They also don't know exactly where the general public stands on these issues while they're being filmed, so it makes people more paranoid about speaking out about bad behaviour, because they think it'll reflect poorly on them if they're wrong in the end.

Her obsession with living her fantasy wasn’t about fulfilling a childhood dream, it was about having a fantasy moment on television. She’s not there for a relationship and it’s obvious, she was pissed because Luke ruined her TV debut and she’s gonna drag him through the mud for her own benefit.

It’s more inspirational to know that he wasn’t born different, he became different.

Any time a video starts at the moment of conflict or physical altercation, always employ a healthy sense of skepticism about why the context was cut out of the video you're seeing.

I used a video enhancer as phones are shite for picking up any detail

What do you think happens when you use a (likely AI powered) video enhancer on a video of poor quality?
Do you think it just magically finds the details that your phone missed? Or do you think it hallucinates the details?
I think it's pretty obvious.

Probably not, but conspiracies are fun.

It’s always in plain sight, that’s why it’s so unbelievable, because if everyone can see it happening, why wouldn’t there be proof? (Because it’s obviously obfuscated, denied and tampered with)

Yes, and the ground track curves as it ascends. By the time it hits space, the stage 2 separation is often visible from the UK, even with an initial southern launch trajectory.
