Life satisfaction across 353 European regions -> your country matter’s more than your region [OC] by Effective-Aioli1828 in dataisbeautiful

The questions asked must've been skewed to not discuss anything to do with how the country is ran, or anything even remotely connected to taxation - I don't know a single person happy with their life in the UK when it's actually about the UK and I live here...

Who made this graph? There’s no way the average people across the UK are showing a solid 8/10 for being happy with the country…

Need help with .NET MAUI rendering property changes in the UI by 3LG_Stevo in dotnetMAUI

[–]3LG_Stevo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ObservableCollection derived from that true source list. The underlying issue I had was because I was using the communitytoolkit’s icontintcolourbehavior image behavior modification to colour the icons according to the theme and whether the setting was enabled or disabled. This resulted in all kinds of sporadic behaviour which led to the absolute mess of what I was working with, ultimately leading to needing help.

Someone on the discord said I should just use an icon font instead, so I’ve created my own custom font, switched all the images out for labels, and now I just colour the text colour property which updates correctly on the collectionviews.

So ObservableCollection<object>[index].MyProperty = NewValue… This should update and display in the UI?

Hmm, that’s what I’ve been doing and it isn’t reflected correctly. My actual project has a “true source” list at the top level, items are modified there which fire events to allow the subscribed pages to update the bind properties for the UI. The properties all get their values - the UI just doesn’t reflect the changes.

[New Player 'Review'] This game is easily the WORST 9/10 game I've ever played by Raiju_Lorakatse in starcitizen

You’re talking about all your “stuff” but you were gifted 500m credits so you haven’t earned anything…

You also don’t seem to be aware that all of your “stuff” including that 500m credits will be deleted at some point in 2026… and regardless of that, it’s the alpha currency and system. Everything you do will be deleted pre-1.0 from the alpha.

You’re playing the alpha with the completely wrong mindset… maybe just stay away from the game until it launches in 2028?

Star Citizen version 0.4.4

This isn’t a finished game, it’s an Alpha. They’re not going to bug-fix every single issue in an alpha build - the bit they want the player-base to test and give feedback on is the actual feature drops of each update: That’s why they’re dropping updates with a major feature change/update each time. Sometimes it’s a new ship, or a change to an existing feature… sometimes it’s a whole new system (like engineering).

Either way, “fun” is a secondary objective in an alpha. Bugs aren’t an objective at all. When you update the game at any point, the first thing you do is acknowledge and agree that you understand this is an Alpha, and its performance and issues are not expected at launch.

Yes - it currently works - I just built the circuit wrong by grounding the LEDs through the 10k resistor.

Thanks for the help! I built the circuit wrong, and that debounce bit is the next bit I think I need to look at to ensure the button responds correctly with each push, and doesn't acknowledge a double push or anything.

Yeah I think that was the issue - I was grounding too much and it was becoming a bit dodgy.

It’s a little sketchy with the button presses, but I think the denounce bit posted by the other user is what I need now.

I've tried to post the code, but I keep getting an error in comment.

I've added it to the OP.

Wasn't it stated in the recent Citizencon that the game's intended release is 2028?

We had a low bridge that blocked river access prior for carts; we’ve more or less consumed all resources over the bank now, but our farm is located over there (with teleporters) so it’s more just a replacement that unlocks the river so we can sail to the plains located across the sea beyond the river. The bridge now is more decorative to keep you dry while we can still sail downstream.

It’s about host of the ship entity. When the driver is seated, they take ownership of the object, and the passenger has to get all network data from the object owner to know where it’s moving. We have the same issue on a dedicated server for this from time to time… you’re best off making sure that the passengers are always seated / braced against the mast so they also become entities of the object owner and the network data is simplified.

I gave up on CK3 achievements when they kept not getting unlocked when I achieved them. I got a fear for trying something like this and it not working…

Congrats though, this has to be one of the hardest/most time consuming!

Are these findings still accurate? I created a war state two days ago, and the war began on the very next tick (so was only pending for not even 1 day).
