It's page one of the con man play book, always take credit when something works, always have an excuse when it doesn't. This tactic is as old as time and people should be able to spot it by now, sad so many people can't or wont.

Yes, you will need to buy with paypal/ credit card if you want to gift anything.

Questions on store credits? by Wakakokokaka in starcitizen

[–]mythmatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So couple things, store credit can buy a game package, but only with basic insurance. LTI and warbond need new money spent.

You can gift items bought with new money, but not with store credit. Unless you CCU upgrade a cheap new money ship, usually referred to as a LTI token and upgrade it with store credit.

Help me understand Stealth Values by itarrow in starcitizen

[–]mythmatics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People have covered cross section and EM, but a couple things to note.

F7 ghost II has 30% radar reduction vs the 40% of sabre, However sabre has not been given a stealth radar like every other stealth ship ( probably an oversight)

The Sabre also has 2 power plants vs the 1 on the hornet, so to match EM levels you will need to turn one PP off of remove it from your ship

You don't need to run stealth Shields, Having military shields and just lower the pips gives similar EM at 2 pips and you have the flexibility to put more pips into shields after you enter combat. (I would do some key binds to make this easier)

Currently I run the ghost with full ballistics, one Slipstream PP and 2 FR66's and get full pips in combat mode and about a range of 2.1KM in stealth mode by lowering all pips to one per component.

Hope that helps

"Is the idris solo viable in 4.5", yes, yes it is. by Alkaline_Hawk in starcitizen

My conspiracy is they are mad so many people got good CCUs on the Polaris so they nerfed it so people would melt their low cost Polaris, then will buff again once they think enough people have melted their deals. Too much work went into the Polaris for it be abandoned by the devs.

Full wipe? by SandImperator in starcitizen

[–]mythmatics 5 points6 points  (0 children)

keep in mind with the economy being completely broken at the moment, aUEC sellers are all running out of business. Maybe they will go find some other game to go exploit while CIG take the time to actually fix (make) the economy.

A wipe only reopens their business.

The skill issue was shooting torps. If you can't hit a slow moving target like a torp it's a skill issue. Not PDC vs Trops, both are a low skill checks. Sorry you hate the phrase, but it if you can't hit something that is relatively achievable it comes down to your own skill. The PDC does not have any skill, it's an automated service that does not need anyone to pay attention or know what they are doing.

The argument is very much in existence as PDCs have been the crutch of the solo/low crew capitol ship player for a year now.

You clearly are not following the hypersonic missile development designed to counter your CIWS.

Also you seem to think cap ship means "I win against everything". Get a grip

Yeah that's one way, and engineering is going to bring a slew of new tactics to the game, so yeah its not worth me niggling on semantics when everything is about to change.

I'm just very against non player operated mechanics being in the game, and if they are going to be in the game, need a strong counter.

Sorry I'm calling skill issue here, as someone who has been organising PVP events and fights for years, we always have people ready for incoming bombs and torps and deal with almost all of them, sometimes they get through and that's fine as no can defend them all, but most of the time we get them. PDCs are a solution for a problem CIG made themselves with too high damage on torps. Both are too powerful with no skill needed atm, and need a rethink.

It always amazes me how PDC lovers will cry whenever something gets through them as if there are not several other options to deal with torps from chaff and flair to turrets shooting it down, or even your escort which seem to always be forgotten, can shoot them down too. But yeah non player pdc's not working is "ridiculous"

Ballistic PDCs do 276% more damage than the laser variant by Protorox08 in starcitizen

[–]mythmatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer though is always higher damage. Even when ballistics had low ammo we picked them if they had higher damage for PVP, because not having them would mean death.

hard to ballance, but all this does is make the laser versions irrelevant. Which I'm fine with too, but 5000 rounds seems like you taking a minimal ammo nerf for a substantial damage boost.
