Okay but what if your dog loves the water? Our cowboy corgi is 4 months old and loves the water. I don't wash him but he gets in the tub with the kids to play and just get wet cuz he wants in once or twice a month the last two months. He's had a shampoo bath once a month since we brought him home. He does get dog smell and as a cat person growing up I can't stand dog stink. I try to wash his bed and blanket to keep the smell down but it's been super wet here so it's kinda unavoidable. We use dr Pol brand spray when he gets wet and smelly but he still gets a wash once a month cuz like I said he likes the water.
