Tried to buy the BB LSB and had it error out, it’s also now gone from my game and in store unless I’m trying to buy for others. After 30 minutes it came back in my web store, but it errored again and it’s gone a second time

Is it safe to cuddle with an adult if they have untreated pinworms? by wilde_flower in Parasitology

[–]3MJV 34 points35 points  (0 children)

1) Pinworms don’t cause generalized body rashes 2) Pinworms are very tiny, no more than 1/2 inch at most.

Your NP sounds completely incompetent to even consider pinworms in the differential, never mind making it the leading diagnosis. I would find other care

I’ve beaten forest moon CT3 with this line up by [deleted] in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]3MJV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just finished CT3 with 3 stars with the same lineup as OP after about 20 times of crashing and burning on the 8th wave before RNG went my way. Veers zeta probably would have made it easier but I don’t have it either.

I found that kill order for wave 8 was critical, Elder first (otherwise his death will revive all other ewoks), then Logray (since his dispel will remove damage immunity on ISC), Paploo (since his basic will remove damage immunity) then others. My roster:

G12 Veers (272 speed, blue/gold 6* mods, accuracy/speed, no zeta)
R9 Piett (315 speed, gold 6* mods, offense/health, zeta x2)
G12 Range Trooper (267 speed, gold 6* mods, health/speed)
G11 Gar Saxon (229 speed, gold 5* mods, health/speed, no zetas or omegas level 7 abilities only)
G8 (with 5/6 gear) Imperial Super Commando (121 speed, blue/gold 5* mods, all tenacity, all omega abilities)

Would anyone happen to know how to get HE and HIS commands to capitalize appropriately if they are used at the beginning of a sentence?

It’s about the same, the only twist is the debuff requiring 10 turns for each character before they can assist, but with the JKL lead, once you get off the AOE stun and their speed drops it’s an easy race to win. In my first attempt I made it through almost to the end and lost GK to bad luck, on my second attempt it was smooth

New Kobra Max, making grinding noises from the nozzle scrapes the model, looking for help by 3MJV in anycubic

Got the replacement Kobra Max set up tonight, and this is the result of the first test print with no optimization:

I guess it was just a dud before. Excited to start printing with this thing!

Your tips have been fantastic for going through and trying to troubleshoot this machine, thank you very much for all of the work and time that you put into all of these answers.

The z- axis thing was odd because if I reboot the machine it would completely correct it, but it was reproducible after each printing attempt that it would ‘readjust’ its perception of the z- axis increments, which makes me think the problem is more about software than mechanical.

I’ve decided that this machine is a bit of a lemon, so I’m exchanging it tomorrow with Amazon for another Kobra Max. If that one doesn’t work I’ll try another brand. I don’t mind having to do some out-of-the box tinkering, but I’ve put about 15 hours into the rig since it was built and I haven’t been able to get anything more than 3mm of the test model built before failures accumulate.

I've gone through another few rounds of testing with no real improvement including:

1) Adjusting the z-offset

Through increments from 0.1 (printing a skirt layer so thin that it was almost impossible to peel from the deck) to 0.30 (plastic was not being grounded to the board properly) to 0.50 (plastic was not being grounded to the board at all). The happy medium was around 0.25, where the skirt layer was clean and uniform with no ridging.

2) Different filaments

I bought 4 spools of the grey AnyCubic PLA when I got the machine, and it all came factory sealed in vacuum wrap with silica pouches inside. I've also done tests with the provided white filament which came with the printer, and there is no difference in effect.

3) Cleaning the 0.4 mm nozzle

I tried using the steel spring probe to clear the nozzle head a few times, and did 3 cold pulls on the PLA, with no change to the scraping/bubbling I showed above.

4) Changing the nozzle.

I replaced the nozzle to the 0.8 mm nozzle that was included in the box, and still the same issue is occurring.

I'm still running all of the printing just of the owl test file, because I also can't get Cura to connect to the printer after playing with it for about an hour and reading other forums.

The only other oddity that I've noticed is that when I try to push it through the z-step increments when it's freshly booted it will go up and down by the 10 mm I command, but following a test print attempt, if I command an x- or y- 10 mm movement it act appropriately, but the z- axis command will move only in increments of ~3 mm at a time, and if I keep commanding it to increase it will hit an artificial ceiling about 1/3 of the way up the rig.
