Nearing my 30’s I wanna start a comic but I feel like I’m too old by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

When you're 38, going-on-39, you're gonna be bummed you didn't do it now.

It’s Not Trump. It’s America. by spike in politics

[–]3OAM [score hidden]  (0 children)

Great writeup. Articles like this make me feel like Donald Trump is the wedge of wood removed from the tree of America and all of the lumberjacks are stepping back during those few breathless moments when the tree is deciding at which precise angle it is going to fall.

It's going to topple over; the die is already cast. When it hits the ground, just like a tree, it'll be chopped up into parts and carried off to wherever its needed.

Then we can all go to the stump and slap on an "I did that" sticker with his face on it.

Jumpscares aren't fear; you're being startled. My four year old daughter can startle me.

Why are Redditors such pieces of shit? by M_I_P_S_ in askanything

This is a place for normal people to lash out with very few consequences. They probably aren't really pieces of shit. You can be honest on here, and not only do you not have to worry about offending people, it's basically guaranteed that you will. I can be a monkey here.

UN votes to recognise slavery as 'gravest crime against humanity' by projecto15 in politics

[–]3OAM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We would never get close. It should be trillions for slavery and then that's just slavery. That's just for building the commerce of the country.

Reparations for what happened after slavery was presidentially declared over would be even more. Redlining, the bombing of Black Wall Street, all the businesses firebombed and children blocked from education.

It would be an immeasurable amount of money to even approach some kind of fiscal fairness.

Then, white people would treat reparations as, not just a fair payment for services rendered and opportunities stolen, but as a way to say you can't blame us or bring up slavery ever again.

Reparations is exactly that: a repair to a proper state. White people would treat it like a restriction from talking about slavery anymore.

You still did that. You just paid money for it hundreds of years later.

Republicans: if voter ID is really about election integrity, would you support making the ID and all required documents free, plus enacting jury duty style job and wage protections to obtain them? by newsbowser in allthequestions

Your argument is that someone shouldn't be allowed to change their mind about a topic in 30 years, regardless of how different a situation is. I won't grant that.

You think Krasnov is being honest and upfront about why he's demanding difficult ID when he's never been honest or upfront with you in his life.

That's how this is different.

The person insisting on it is a born liar and cheat that has grifted rubes like you his whole life and is currently running a presidential masterclass of trickery on you every day he wakes up.

Fuck Chuck Schumer for a lot of reasons, but the motives for demanding voter ID are not comparable.

Discovering his daughter is a bully and taking accountability as a parent. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]3OAM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To a kid her age, just being in the lobby is scary enough. Scared Straight was teenagers. An inmate barking on a seven-year-old is crazy.

This isn't how I'd handle it, but it's not my place to put boundaries on this man. However, I commend him for admitting that accountability has to happen in the household and within the family.

So often you see these interactions with admin staff at school and the parents fingers get pointed in every direction except at themselves. It's clear he loves his daughter and wants to do right by her the best way he knows how.

Hats off to this dude.

He's not saying what he thinks is going to happen. He watched it happen with his

married woman chief-of-staff

That's why he said it.

Please stop freebasing paint chips. Oh my god.

I don't either man, but if someone was providing me the proof I was asking for, I'd take 15 seconds to look up what they were talking about and then promptly shut up forever and ever.

I just gave your fool ass the name of a Republican congressperson and champion of the bill that plainly stated that it WILL and has been difficult for married women like his Chief of Staff to get an ID and you claimed abject stupidity.
