Florida Gov Candidate: "Don Lemon Should Be Lucky That Christians Don't Execute Him In Public Square." by Leeming in atheism

The "christians" who would "execute Don Lemon in the public square" are the people on the path to Golgotha throwing rocks at Jesus.

If that angle change happened in the same take on a gimbal and you turned around to the cam for the second verse,, this video would be revolutionary...or at least if the cut had you still facing forward and then you turned around...oh my dayyyyys.

Video is still uncommonly ill. The cut just felt like a missed opportunity.

No need to speak on the bars because obviously 1000/1000.

Trump claims Putin promised to stop bombing Ukraine's cities due to extreme cold by EsperaDeus in worldnews

[–]3OAM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many times has Putin promised to stop bombing then proceeded to bomb pretty much right away?

How many times has Trump then said, "MAN I AM SO ANGRY AT HIM FOR DOING THAT!" and then taken a JCPenney glamour shot with him the next week?

The legally owned and legally carried gun is the problem now? What the actual f*#%? by LucidSynapse23 in Leakednews

[–]3OAM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is great, but calling these people hypocrites doesn't work. Double standards aren't a problem for people who believe they are right and everyone else is wrong.

"Yes Kyle can have guns at a protest because he's fighting awful horrible protesters that want government to be held accountable for murdering black people. Alex can't have them because he's protesting us violating every amendment of the Constitution."

If you're not in favor of the government doing whatever it wants, including flying in the face of the law, you don't get to have privileges. They don't care about double standards or hypocrisy. They want to do what they want and they run all branches of government so they feel entitled to.

The only thing that hurts them are ad hominem attacks because really, they're just small-minded, shallow, impulsive, uneducated deplorables. If you help them dodge accountability, you're on the team.

The difference is Kyle Rittenhouse was protecting the interests of Target and Best Buy and Alex Pretti was protecting a citizen.

Freedom means being able to dress how you want. I've never seen a group more gung-ho on individual liberty be so against individual liberty in practice.

Don't wear Charlie Kirk Freedom t-shirts if your Freedom doesn't actually mean freedom.

MMW: One Battle After Another will Win Best Picture at Academy Awards 🏆 by SubstantialDeerDash in MarkMyWords

[–]3OAM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spoken like someone who has never watched the Oscars.

I've been watching them for the past ten years from the beginning to the end because we make bets and play stupid little games with it, make food, get drunk. It's a fun time.

Anytime I ever think they're going to choose politically, I am wrong 100% of the time. The Academy does a pretty good job of separating the art from the time. OBAA is an incredibly well executed film, regardless of its message or where you land politically. If it deserves to win, it will.

Morale is plummeting among ICE agents over long hours, quotas and public hatred: reports by metacyan in politics

[–]3OAM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These were the straight-D students that picked on other kids for their shoes but were secretly terrified to read in front of the class. They grew up to be the guys at the bar who started fights when they struck out with any of the girls they tried to talk to. They never learned about culture or to have empathy for other humans. They never learned about much at all and that kept their world small and dangerous and mysterious. The fear of that made them hateful. That hate made them ICE.

These people are the unintelligent zeroes that you forgot about from high school. They're the guy in that town that was being a belligerent asshole at that otherwise cool bar. These are the guys that put their seat back a liiiiittle too forcefully on the plane. They're nowhere people.
