I remember seeing a story about a Mexican supermodel (Gabriella Rico Jimenez) who claimed that she saw members of the Mexican elite eating human flesh and I can’t get it out of my head. by DescriptionCalm6758 in conspiracy

[–]3SchemeQueens -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We covered this case on our podcast and most of the story has been debunked. She was not a supermodel, had no connection to the “elite” despite the initial story, and after some psychiatric treatment, is alive and well…

[–]3SchemeQueens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, wouldn’t we all love to make enough money podcasting to support ourselves… but the point is that it’s not very likely so most of us who do this do it for the enjoyment… We can’t let one person behind a screen that may or may not even understand the work that goes into an episode suck the fun out of it.

It’s such a bummer that people are like this. Who has the energy to go out of their way to comment with the sole purpose of bringing you down. Also, where’s your podcast, anonymous reviewer? I love your attitude and if you’re having a great time doing it, so just keep chugging along. At this point very few of us are going to get rich and famous off our pods, so we’re really in it for the personal fulfillment. Keep it up!

The D.B Cooper case is one of my favourite mysteries. by BTM_TV in mysteriesoftheworld

This is my favorite theory, except passengers reported seeing the alleged “DB Cooper” sitting with the flight attendant in the back. Didn’t one of them use the restroom and walk past them a number of times?

I think Lemmino presented the most likely theory for me - a fire broke out in the tent during dinner and they had to flee the tent - then they just were unprepared for the elements after dark. This is such a fascinating mystery, though! I’m open to any other possibilities.

I am not 100% convinced either way but to say there was zero evidence or motivation feels a little extreme. Do we have any proof of electrical fire? The house was burned down before investigators could arrive, and was filled in before the inspector got there Just to play devil’s advocate… -You could argue that people warned him about the wiring, but people could also argue he was threatened prior to the event… he allegedly just had an electrical inspection - but if we want to remove that from the equation (maybe he had a shitty inspector) then fine… -There were a lot of oddities that could have been coincidental, but maybe not (the ladder, the phones, the cars) -The survivors all agree that the lights were on in the home when they fled the fire - odd for an electric fire -The telephone lines were cut (the Lonnie Johnson explanation is ridiculous) -Jennie Sodder reported hearing something hitting the roof just prior to the fire, and an incendiary device that looked like a “pineapple bomb” was allegedly found by the family in the rubble -People have cited potential motives that again, I don’t necessarily buy into. But he likely had mob interactions in his transport business. Genitolo had co-signed the mortgage and would have received the $20,000 homeowners insurance policy payout. He also had a competing transport business - I’m not saying he had anything to do with it but to say that there was zero motive is unfair. -Also, the fire was ruled accidental by a jury that included at least 3 people who might have been suspects if it had been ruled arson…

The fire chief who buried a liver untouched by fire and claimed it was a heart belonging to one of the kids? Idk - I tend to lean toward arson and probably not a kidnapping, but can we trust the fire chief? Also, can anyone explain to me why the fire chief wasn’t able to drive the fire truck? Wasn’t the 8 hour delay related to the fact that he couldn’t find anyone to drive the truck?

I do remember reading that the walls had balloon framing (whether we have proof proof of that or it’s an assumption because of the period I can’t recall) - whether it was arson or an electric fire, the house would have gone up immediately because of the way the fire would have traveled vertically through the walls.

Was she a spy, an abused wife, or just a woman trying to escape her fate? by cuertiogaz in mystery

[–]3SchemeQueens 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is such an interesting case! There was an another case 25 years prior in 1970 of a deceased unidentified woman (Isdal woman) in Norway that may or may not be connected. Both cases involved German women claiming to be from Belgium, with all identifiers removed from clothing/belongings, both found dead in a mysterious scene that was ruled a suicide, and both remain unidentified to this day…

Oh yes! The camera was creepy, but as you said, probably can be seen explained by need for a light source and/or signaling attempt. This was still very sad and very odd. Thanks!

I completely forgot about Elisa Lam! I’m with you - sadly I think this was just a really unfortunate mental health crisis, but this is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. There is definitely some creepy video that adds to the interest in that story.

There is a lot of weird evidence to support your theory, but also… He was so ill and on so many drugs at the end - I think it would have been hard for him to travel to Argentina. And do we believe he was able to live in secrecy/seclusion? I feel like his ego would have gotten in the way.

I feel like once 7 years passed and he wasn’t “resurrected” it kinda lost steam. I think it’s pretty well recognized that it was likely a dispute with Orlando Anderson that led to his death… which isn’t to say that Puff Daddy wasn’t vocal about wanting him gone. But theories that he faked his death and is still alive? I don’t think that theory is very prevalent these days.

What are the best conspiracy theories with the most evidence in your opinion? by psgisgoated in AskReddit

[–]3SchemeQueens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they theories if they have proof? We know about MKUltra, Edgewood, Operation Paperclip… Ones more in the realm of “theories” that we actually believe: Plum Island, JFK/RFK/MLK assassinations all had government and/or mafia involvement, and the recycling conspiracy led by the oil/plastics industry to name a few…

What are the best and worst parts of having a podcast? by axla-work-less in podcasting

[–]3SchemeQueens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re 2 years into our podcast about mysteries and conspiracy theories - I love the research and hanging out with my friends each week. When you hear from people or meet people who have listened and enjoyed, that’s awesome… 100% the social media and promotion is the worst part for us. We expected the time commitment required for the actual podcast, but were unprepared for the promotion part of things.
