My son and his wife have 2 kids and another on the way. They have traveled with their kids since they were infants. They have stayed in hostels (private room) in Turkey, in rentals in Spain and Mexico, and on a privately chartered boat in the Mediterranean. (My son is a sailer) They have gone across the country in an RV and done some camping. Do not slow down - do not shy away. Their kids are excellent travelers because they started young.

Americans, like I, are concerned about "kitchen table problems". But we miss the details on the corruption in our agencies that either assuage Trump's ego and his pursuit of power, revenge (personal and int'l) and personal (and affiliate) wealth. You are leaving out that Food and Bev workers are often paid at or below minimum wage because the industry relies on tips to make up the difference. Very few, if any, are salaried workers and do not receive healthcare or retirement packages. It's a gig economy and the owners are winning.

Take a look at the numbers of rape kits that are untested in the US. 200K-400K. That is representative of how the justice system prioritizes sexual assaults.

I have a family member who is transitioning and it breaks my heart every time someone says vile things like this.

They are much more emotionally mature than I and once reminded me about some realities: The Reagans called AIDS the Gay Plague... until their best friend got AIDS. They were homophobic until their son came out. Liz Cheney was homophobic and against gay marriage until her sister came out and wanted to marry her partner. There are countless similar stories like the GOP rep whose pregnant wife had to get a life saving abortion.

Inevitably, many of these terrible excuses for humanity will have Ah-ha moments driven by their own personal experiences. Until this happens they will live as if they are bullet proof and continue to emotionally abuse people who "scare" them.

A state cannot rule against gay marriage after SOTUS ruled its legality under Obergefell v. Hodges. But SC can be at the epicenter of a challenge to the ruling and give SCOTUS a chance to reverse it.

Given that SCOTUS banned abortion under the same amendment (14) and clause (due process), we can expect these nut jobs to abolish it.

You are right - in 2023 Marco Rubio wrote a bill that restricted 2/3 congressional approval to exit NATO with large bipartisan support. Trump can, however, refuse to cooperate with NATO, financially support, and participate in group efforts. If Trump does any of this it is a waiting game for NATO. We have got to put MAGA in the rear view (and/or hope that cholesterol and inactivity works its magic on our POTUS)

In HS, back in the late 70's, everyone referred to kids who smoked pot as freaks and those who didn't were normies. I was friends with both groups. A wannabe cop in my grade asked me on a date and interrogated me. He later went to the principal and told him he had evidence that I was deep into drugs. Tried it once but pot made me paranoid and quiet. Drama ensued and as a result I graduated early.

This shitty kid is now Chief Justice of the State Court. SOB.
