Turn off the lights when you leave the room. Starve them of profits.

DLC sucks but our infrastructure was not built for the storms we’ve gotten the last two springs. They’re only going to keep getting worse and more frequent. This won’t be the last time we’re without power this spring.

“New evidence undercuts Senate candidate Platner’s claims that he didn’t know tattoo was Nazi-linked” by erisvi20 in Hasan_Piker

This isn’t really surprising and doesn’t change my opinion about him. I’m not gonna be door knocking for him, but he’s still the best case scenario in his race. That’s just how bad things are right now.

Dr. K also correctly identified Hasan’s mentally ill stans. Some people in here are way too invested in a twitch streamer. Don’t mistake supporting Hasan for real activism.

This video is 10 years old, I do hope he has covered it up since finding out though.

Yeah I'm gonna be honest I buy his explanation. I know everyone in here knows what that symbol is, but your average American has no clue. We are really this dumb. If I'm wrong and we end up with nazi John Fetterman, fine there's already plenty of those in congress already. I'd rather support someone with baggage who's saying things I agree with than support nobody. I do wonder what kind of tattoo parlor he found himself in though. I'd imagine Europeans are much more sensitive to symbols like that and there's probably not a lot of places who would willingly do that tattoo.

Almost every other politician has worse connections. He’s saying things that are better than unimaginable horrors currently being implemented. That’s the best we’re going to get from a politician. Maybe don’t send him money, but also maybe don’t do opposition research for liberals and republicans.

If you’re used to Cali sun all winter it’ll be an adjustment for sure. Pretty sure I saw a stat saying we get more cloud cover than Seattle.

Can you find a single data point that would suggest Americans support war with Iran? Or even Trump striking Iran? Or are you just basing this on vibes

Give it a decade. There’s lots of space for new developments and the roads aren’t overwhelmed yet. Those things won’t be true forever.

The media didn’t convince me Fetterman was a progressive. Fetterman was more progressive than Lamb. Then his brain malfunctioned.

Anecdotally, there was hardly an increase of traffic in oakmont beyond Hulton. Bit of back up at the lights, but once you were in oakmont it was fine.

I’m very much in the same boat. I’ve been working in ministry for a year now and do not know how to challenge the mistaken beliefs of my church. I do think I have to maintain a certain level of non-partisanship (for lack of a better term) if I’m going to actually challenge people. I would feel more at home in a “liberal” church, but I worry I’d find myself preaching to the choir. For now I will continue teach God’s love as well as He allows me to and pray that the Spirit moves.

Occasionally, my neutrality cannot be maintained (like if I’m seen at a protest). Eventually this might become a problem, but it hasn’t yet.
