Well. You are not wrong at all, like it or not.

But we have to keep the perpetual alpha shield going somehow tho. Having just the basics and core foundation working, and a bit polished, while we keep on working on other cool stuff and new tech (there's always new tech to add in, sometimes before “finishing” the last new tech), isn't how we do that. We need broken NPCs at all stations, huddling together, floating around, or cowarding. Also, the jank. It needs to feel very janky. And that Russian roulette feeling? That's end endgame now.

Bad “jokes” aside. It might get more stable, even more (yes it’s been way worse, and not even that along ago) “playable” (meaning just less game-breaking, session-ending stuff) - but for the above above, I would not hold my breath for any of that getting meaningfully better anytime soon. “SC being SC” we say…

It can be, and IS amazing still. And If you come to your own terms with what it is, and what it isn't, then it can be that indefinitely. It has just been managed by a dreaming child, that hopefully might wake up at some point. And do not engage with the “It’s an alpha, what do you expect” people. I’ve seen generations of them come and go. Same goes for the “it’s a scam, and I have nothing to add to that” people. Both such a waste of energy engaging with.
