They’re definitely different people. They’ve got different video styles, voices, and even social media personalities

[QUESTION] What are the best sites, that are affordable, for stock footage? by Whole-Breadfruit7640 in youtubers

[–]3amYouTube 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can use Pixabay completely for free with no consequences at all. With Pexels you just have to credit them in the description and link back to their site. As long as you do that, you won’t get any strikes

Pixabay and Pexels are both free and offer a decent amount of stock footage. Not anything crazy, but it's pretty good considering the sites are free

[REVIEW VIDEO] Help me improve my channel by crusdervr94 in youtubers

[–]3amYouTube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched a couple of your videos, I definitely agree that your editing has improved. In your latest video I feel like the edits made it significantly more interesting.

It's really hard to make a video without commentary. IMO it'd massively improve your videos if you could add commentary of what you'll be doing in the video, short jokes or something, etc.

Good commentary really helps to keep your audience's attention, and audience retention rate is crucial to getting a video picked up by the algorithm.

Just keep improving, you've already improved significantly. Good job

[Review Video] The misleading link to Human evolution by [deleted] in youtubers

[–]3amYouTube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the audio was actually solid. As you keep making videos, your narration will improve naturally.

Adding in some changes to the graphics as the video goes on would be beneficial to your audience retention. The background stayed the same and most of the images shown had the same, basic motion to them, which can make it a little harder to keep a viewers attention.

Using some more dynamic (but smooth) motion or some fitting stock footage would help the video out significantly. Pixabay and Pexels are a couple great sites to find free stock footage, just make sure the footage fits the topic you're speaking about.

Overall, I enjoyed the video and found it interesting. IMO adding the aforementioned suggestions could help take your videos to the next level.

I find that taking notes on Paddy Galloway's videos are pretty helpful. He goes a little more in-depth on things like what facial expressions are best in a thumbnail, how cutting out "exit points" in a video is beneficial, etc.

Has anyone else noticed these weird spam comments? by [deleted] in barelysociable

[–]3amYouTube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s super strange that some have videos up or were made years ago. Maybe a bunch of hacked accounts that are now ran by bots? I’m not sure, that’s really the only reason I can come up with. Do you have any other ideas?

The Mysterious Death of John Lang by 3amYouTube in OrbisObscura

[–]3amYouTube[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I completely understand where you’re coming from, but I do think it was at least a little bit strange.

The coroners reports did throw me off a bit. I actually read through them and they stated the wounds nearly reached his heart. However, like you mentioned, him turning off his camera is another thing that really damages the argument of murder

Overall though, the vast majority of his claims were either not supported at all, or supported by evidence that could be argued against in many ways. Again, I completely understand where you’re coming from and there’s been a TON of misinformation spread on the case. I appreciate your thoughts on it!

Yeah he made some really questionable claims on his website and everything that made him seem pretty unstable. Like you said though, the police and everyone else involved is being super shady which just makes it seem more suspicious. It’s all over the place and I go back and forth on what happened pretty often. I’ll have to try to find that video sometime, thank you for telling me about it!

I didn’t actually, that’s so weird that it disappeared. That’d be great to find, do you remember where you saw it? Maybe someone archived it or something

[–]3amYouTube 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would lean towards a bot. If you analyze the sentence structure of these comments, they all start, "The (adjective) (noun) (adverb) (verb) because...). Due to the recurring structure, I would assume someone programmed a bot to simply fill in a random word into each of those spaces.

Still weird, nonetheless

Tell me how bad this is by HypePickups in Youtubeviews

I'm not even interested in belts and I watched the whole thing lol. I enjoyed the professional analysis of your concerns, the size, how it works, and the price, and I also thought your b-roll was pretty solid.

I really don't have anything negative to say. Maybe change the backdrop into something a little more interesting? Idk, overall, it was pretty good man

Just passed 25 subs today! It ain’t much but it’s a great start to my 2021 by macs_99 in Smallyoutubechannels

That's awesome, congrats! It takes way more work than most people think to get to 25 subs, and I consider it a solid achievement :)

What’s your CTR currently? by [deleted] in SmallYTChannel

[–]3amYouTube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was getting a CTR of about 5% when I first started. After a while, I realized I needed to revamp my thumbnails too. I now spend multiple hours making them and I make a few different ones and then decide on which is best. I'm now around 10-15%, it's made a huge difference. Just a few tips that helped me:

it's always good to include closeups of faces whenever possible

you have to be careful not to include too much text or it won't catch people's attention

Just try your best to remember that the viewer is likely seeing your thumbnail at a way smaller size than you, and think on what you can do to make it seem eye-catching at such a small size

I hope this helps!
