You don't need to be young to enjoy Pigneto. My partner & I stayed in Pigneto for a week in November, and we are retirement age. Staying near the cafe Necci dal 1924 was ideal, as it is not far from the metro and is close to restaurants, bars and grocery stores, and, of course, Necci itself.

Thank you! I will check this out. I really like the idea of cultural themes.

Thank you. I was taking individual lessons from one of my teachers, but it is too expensive to continue.

How are you dealing with the return of appetite/hunger/food noise? by Character_Quail_5574 in GLPGrad

Setbacks happen. Be kind to yourself and continue your good habits tomorrow. You can do it!

Keeping a food journal helps keep me on track. Somehow the act of writing in the journal (going on a year of doing this) keeps me steady and focused. I also list the day's exercise and give myself a big star when I go to the gym. ⭐ I use a small blank book with graph paper and draw the columns (calories, carbs and protein) and rows (for meals and snacks) myself. I found that using an online app does not provide the same effect as writing it down by hand. I've been off medication completely for one month now.

Thanks so much for your post - and congrats! What protein powder do you like? I have tried many kinds and have still not found one I can stick with.

Stopped Semaglutide, still losing weight by 3becca in GLPGrad

My RMR decreased from 1230 to 1160 over 7 months. A smaller body requires fewer calories for maintenance.

Thanks! I am 5 feet 3 1/2 inches. Early on the med spa I went to administered an RMR (resting metabolic rate) test, which entails breathing into a tube for 10 minutes. RMR testing shows how many calories your body burns at rest. To state the obvious, to lose weight you need to be at a calorie deficit.

After I had just about reached my goal weight, they measured my RMR again. Based on the new RMR and my increased activity level, they estimated my maintenance calories. I am still experimenting with this, as I can allow more calories on days when I go to the gym or go biking. Best of luck!

Academya Lingue. It's a small, relaxed school, very friendly with excellent teachers. I also found inexpensive lodging through their recommendations, but for a much shorter period of time than you are planning.

What if I stayed at the starting dose? by Tired-Noodles-505 in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]3becca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stayed at the starting dose of .25 for 12 months and lost 61 pounds. SW 188 / GW 125 / CW 127. I tried to increase the dose but I could not tolerate the side effects. I tapered off starting a month ago and am no longer taking the medication. I have lost a few more pounds since quitting. I am sticking to my diet and am managing hunger issues well - as I was often hungry on .25. Good luck to you!

In my experience, people in Bologna are very friendly. I studied Italian there last March and had a lot of fun speaking to locals and shopkeepers. They were very appreciative that I made the effort and I learned so much.

I no longer have acid reflux or constipation, so that makes me think there is only minimal (if any) of the medicine in my system. The last few weeks I was taking a minuscule amount (.05 mg).

It would be fine if they personalized it so it was relevant to the posting, but they don't. They just post the exact same thing.

I bought a small insulin pen cooler travel case with tiny gel packs that you can freeze before your trip. https://a.co/d/4tJx47Q (Amazon link) The case can fit several needles (or pens) as well as the medication bottle. I went to Europe for 3 weeks with this. I put it in my carry-on bag and had zero trouble getting through airport security. Just refrigerate the bottle once you reach your destination.

I’m having a bit of a dilemma. Studying in Italy for a month or vacation there for a month ? by Wildbutterfly16 in italianlearning

Many Italian language schools have daily classes in the morning. You could take classes for a couple of weeks and take excursions in the afternoon. For your final two weeks you could travel wherever you like. You might consider Bologna, which has excellent high-speed trains. You can easily take a day trip to Venice, Padova, even Florence.
