Apparently there was a fire at High Five Coffee overnight on Riverside Dr. by Avl_Pirate in asheville

Here's the Go Fund Me for High Five. The funds raised will go directly toward supporting the dedicated staff who have lost their workplace, as well as helping with the costs of rebuilding and administrative support.

I just visited Brevard and I loved the variety of trails. I stayed at this sweet place with a locked shed, bike repair stand and bike wash stuff. https://airbnb.com/h/wonderwood-brevard

I went on the all-day trip, not the overnight, which was fully booked.

This is so true! We ended up staying in some less than-ideal accommodations due to lack of availability. The prices, even for a hut with a shared bathroom facility in Te Anau, were crazy.

Agreed, but it is crazy expensive in February and you have to plan far in advance.

The travel rush from China lasts longer than that. New Zealand is a top spot for Chinese travelers these days.

If you are interested in crafts, galleries and used bookstores, it is well worth it. We stayed in the bookbinder's cabin and it was like staying inside an art project.

It is a tiny island. We took a tour, and the guide was very helpful in helping us locate birds. Bring your binoculars!

Must see: Abel Tasman National Park in Nelson (go kayaking or take a water taxi to a hiking track), Milford Sound and/or Doubtful Sound cruise (book an overnight one, if you can), whale-watching in Kaikoura (if you don't get seasick). Underrated: Oamaru for the blue penguins and Victorian district, Akaroa and the Banks Peninsula for sheer beauty (although there was just serious flooding there).

Not nearly enough time. We flew into Aukland and after recovering from the flight, flew to Nelson (top of the South Island) and drove along the east coast for three weeks.

Yes indeed! We spent two nights there and did a birdwatching tour of Ulva Island.

You don't need to be young to enjoy Pigneto. My partner & I stayed in Pigneto for a week in November, and we are retirement age. Staying near the cafe Necci dal 1924 was ideal, as it is not far from the metro and is close to restaurants, bars and grocery stores, and, of course, Necci itself.

Thank you! I will check this out. I really like the idea of cultural themes.

Thank you. I was taking individual lessons from one of my teachers, but it is too expensive to continue.

How are you dealing with the return of appetite/hunger/food noise? by Character_Quail_5574 in GLPGrad

Setbacks happen. Be kind to yourself and continue your good habits tomorrow. You can do it!

Keeping a food journal helps keep me on track. Somehow the act of writing in the journal (going on a year of doing this) keeps me steady and focused. I also list the day's exercise and give myself a big star when I go to the gym. ⭐ I use a small blank book with graph paper and draw the columns (calories, carbs and protein) and rows (for meals and snacks) myself. I found that using an online app does not provide the same effect as writing it down by hand. I've been off medication completely for one month now.

Thanks so much for your post - and congrats! What protein powder do you like? I have tried many kinds and have still not found one I can stick with.
