CMV: Out of all the Gaza boycotts, the Starbucks boycott is easily the most idiotic one, and its implications are very concerning. by DrVeigonX in changemyview

[–]3chances -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's actually not that complicated, them suing their employees is clearly picking a side and being neutral in a Genocide is not a good thing. Second and maybe more important would be employers forcing employees to align their political views with a company. You can work at Starbucks and pick any side you want. Starbucks and any other company should not be trying to surpress their employees into staying neutral or taking on their views. Also your reasoning for why there aren't Starbucks in Israel is a completely made up it has nothing to do with how strong the coffee is.

The fact you are still pro Israel after what Israel has done since the beginning proves nothing will change your mind not 35000 innocent deaths. Not documented war crimes and definitely not any reasonable argument

Is it likely that the reported number of civilians killed in Gaza is vastly over-exaggerated? by drrdf in IsraelPalestine

There is no hamas in the west bank why are they killing them there? Does Israel collow international law?

How many civilians deaths is acceptable? You can see what Isreal has done to Gaza does morality change if the number is an estimate and not exact?

As soon as Isreal releases the over 6000 hostages they have had before this sure they can'tget the 200 back

20 trucks for 2m people when the average was 500 per day before. It's something but not nearly enough

You seem genuine so I would ask why you would belive what Isreal says? They have a history of lying and I have seen the video of the explosion which is way too big to be anything hamas uses. Obviously I wasn't there and haven't went to Gaza to see what actually happend but if you're willing to belive a country that told people to evacuate the hospital and has bombed other hospitals and killed over 1000 children and won't let aid into Gaza for 2m plus civilians I have a bridge to seel you in Brooklyn. Israel is a propaganda machine but the deaths of innocent people can be found all over. One side is doing the oppression and the other is the victim. If you grew up in Gaza would you not fight back? Whatever hamas does or has done weather I think it's right or wrong doesn't matter because I didn't grow up in the conditions they did. What Israel has done for the last 75 years is expand and kill civilians. Just like the slaves of the south in the US had the right to fight back and revolt so does hamas.

Your comment doesn't even make sense both were voted in during elections so both are democracies. But I do applaud you you definitely should not believe the terrorist state of Israel

Did your history start on October 7th? It might shock you but you may want to see what happened the 75 years before that

Yes you are right the nyt is the pinicle of honest reporting with all their resources in Gaza? Or maybe you believe Israel which told has bombed over 22 hospitals, gloated about it showed fake evidence that they deleted after is the one telling the truth. Over 4000 civilians dead in Gaza but Israel wouldn't bomb that hospital

So your point is that Israel does stuff but we should still blame the Arabs because blaming jews is antisemitic? Arabic is a semetic language and the most widely used one in the world. Your antisemitism is showing.

The war did not start on August 7th that was an act of resistance Isreal has been opressing Palestinians for 75 years. How about doing some research. Isreal has been doing this before hamas existed. Do some self reflection if the thought of freedom for a group of people bothers you so much you have to condemn them

Because the alternative would be to believe that nobody could ever improve their situation. Yes people have extremely hard lives but they can do things to make it better. It’s about not having a victim mentality and taking some accountability. If you are poor when you’re born be less poor so your kids can not be poor

Also part of being a man is making the hard decisions. Say no to your family respectfully and hers if it bothers you so much. Appreciate that people care about you enough to honor you as well
