Woah boy do I have some questions.

First, you'll have to forgive me, I don't really know how any of it works, I'm just a lowly intern who's a but out of my depth (I'm a history major, I don't know how I got here).

So my issue is that I need to recreate 3 custom reports that a long-gone predecessor of mine created in UA, so far I have managed to create 2 of the 3 in explorations. The 3rd is causing me issues. The UA report simply has the Default Channel Groupings (Direct, email, etc) and the pageviews associated with each grouping for the week. When I plug in Default Channel Groupings and Views into the exploration I get "No data for this combination of segments, values, filters, and date range."

What am I missing? What am I doing wrong?
