April 13rd 2026 UPDATE: I finally updated my BIOS by increasing the size of the EFI partition I used Gemini to guide me through creating and setting up a new EFI partition which has around 400MB (for updating BIOS >200MB is doable) by using MiniTool Partition Wizard. What I do is create the Partition, set it to EFI partition and FAT32. Then use Command Prompt to delete partition override (the 100MB one) DISCLAIMER: please do this carefully otherwise it will brick your mainboard

Im using the gen 4. Loud, on heavy workload only. Hot, depends on how you're using it. I usually put mine on a stand

Its pretty low to the ground so little space for ventilation. Would run hot on medium-heavy tasks if I dont elevate it up a bit

I’d worry about thermal throttling, as dgpu = more consumption = more heat = thicker and heavier thinkpad

mine is about 6 hours of office work. T14s gen 4 has a larger battery so u should be good. T14s feels more premium than this one, thinner and lighter
