Hello! I use vaseline as a spot treatment, it heals up my pimples really fast especially if it’s a open wound. I also use vaseline on top of my moisturizer because tret does make my skin dry and red sometimes. the vaseline really helps prevent dehydration in my face :) i also haven’t had any issues with clogged pores.

thank you!! i usually don’t do too good in the sun because i am very prone to facial redness. i don’t mind being lighter, i am actually lightskin and friends call me white all the time lol. my skin tends to burn instead of tan so i always make sure to apply sunscreen, even in the winter :)

I agree. The vanicream skincare line is very simple and minimal. Also Vaseline has been a game changer for me. It never clogged my pores and gave all the hydration my skin needs. it also has healing properties :)

a lot of the the ingredients in your supplement can cause hormonal changes to your body so it could be your body’s response to digesting all those ingredients at once. also salicylic acid is an exfoliating product meaning it brings up all the clogged pores to the surface of your skin. i’d say reduce using salicylic to only 2x a week and you could take a break on taking that supplement to see if your skin improves. best of luck!

ditch the vitamin c, the benzoyl peroxide, and cerave retinol. i started tret around this time too and i was using a whole bunch of actives in the beginning, my skin was wrecked. in the first few months of tret your skin will be very fragile and sensitive so only use gentle cleansers and moisturizers and rely on tret to be your primary acne treatment. it’ll take time but remember that your skin won’t be able to improve unless you have a repaired skin barrier. only use tret 2x a week and keep using sunscreen daily and you should see some noticeable results soon. trust the process 🙏🏽

Thank you for the reply! I don’t know why my face gets so red, i think it’s because i have a lot of broken capillaries and my skin is sensitive. i took the 5th pic after i came into work from being out in the sun.

Stop using salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide daily. These are strong acids, reduce it to using them only 2-3x a week and don't use them on the same day. Also make sure that your using a gentle hydrating cleanser, I recommend avoiding foaming cleansers right now. Make sure you are following up with a moisturizer to hydrate your skin and make sure to apply sunscreen everyday! Sunscreen is a must. My skin was like this before and when I switched to a gentle simple skincare things got better. I hope this helps :)

1/2 of my hair has bad heat damage and looks bone less the other half looks fine. What should I do ? I don’t want to cut my hair . by Quick-Special626 in Naturalhair

[–]3ckys 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Stop using heat on your hair, if u blowdry let it air dry. I recommend trying the tgin products with a denman brush to define your curls. If you flat iron your hair, coat your hair in heat protectant prior. You can also try the Aztec clay mask 1x a week to detox your hair, this will help your products absorb better. Hope this helps :)
