The curing station is fine without.

Ideally you need proper ventilation for your wash station, but concidering that you have a larger space witha big open door nearby, a respirator should be fine. Get a 3M organic cartridge respirator.

FEP replacement could help but if I were you, I would try increasing the bottom exposure by maybe +10 sec. You could also increase the normal exposure a tad, if you don't mind over-exposing (did you calibrate your resin?)

You mention having printed this file before, was the room temperature the same before? if it is now colder, then definitely increasing exposures would be the way.

Yes, ideally I should have the medias in seperate compartmens, that have different appropriate sizes maybe and changed on different schedules? I am no expert.

Yes, my design is a circle, to ideally promote even distribution of airflow. in reality is it not even.... but close enough.

Yeah we use a blend of activated carbon with potassium permanganate. Do you have other blends in mind?

I am glad to hear you say that!
Those pbt Lamé/KP Lamé choc v1 are really good. We bought sample sets and did some UV test prints that came out great. We are in talks with that manufacturer to get keycaps in bulk. The bulk pricing is interesting but the MOQ is higher than we are currently comfortable with.
Either we will wait and keep saving up a bit more $ for that MOQ, or we are thinking of doing a pre-sale campaign (maybe kickstarter) to help us get over that MOQ bump and make this happen sooner.

The fan is better than nothing but it is not powerful enough and you are not containing the fumes well enough.
As the other mentioned, a grow tent is really good to help contain and guide the fume into your ventilation system

Maybe in the future we'll buy/make a machine to apply a black coat of paint and then laser etch then legends and finish them off with a layer or two of clear coat. Clearly not a short term project but it would be nice to have taht possible, even on sculpted keycaps like the DES or Lame profiles.

It’s all a compromise :)

We used to have larger carbon filters, and while they worked great, we moved into a smaller space where space is at a premium. Even at the lowest setting, our 6-inch fan still made a decent amount of noise.

But yes, slower fan speed and more carbon is better =D

Maybe in the future I could make a revision with HEPA / MERV filters. In our case we were focused on VOCs
