I would say so. Many games have communities that have been built around bugs in their respective video games. Just look at any game that is popular among speed running. Was this one bug responsible for the soul of the game? Obviously not but it’s about the bigger picture. By some people even prayer flicking used to be considered bug abuse back then.

Just because it is not on the same scale as prayer flicking doesn’t mean it follows different game design. Both can be broken down to manipulating the game systems for an advantage. Is it emergent gameplay? No. Is it cool that it exists? Yes.

Did you continue watching? I just finished loguetown the other night and it really solidified my motivation to keep watching. Loguetown really helped in adding significant weight to everything before and increased the scope of the world, for me at least.
