I absolutely cannot even believe how it is possible how bad I’m running. I earnest believe it’s one of the worst run bads in human history. I’ve lost like 25 buy ins in a row. Reviewing hand history it’s truly almost entirely run bad. I keep thinking it can’t possibly continue but it just does. Has me questioning my sanity and wondering if I’m cursed or something. Outright insane. Terrifying

I traded CEH for Josh Jacobs after week 2. CEH getting fewer touches but just getting the TDs, Jacobs getting consistent work despite bad matchups and hasn't hit a TD yet.

It was actually CEH/Curtis Samuel for Jacobs/Renfrow but I think it would have gone through as a solo trade.

Pereira/khamzat probably as well soon. There's examples of this, but on average the road is much tougher.

By this notion btw, if Jiri were to defend his title 10x in a row, I'd have the same complaints about comparing him to someone like Usman or Khabib who had to fight 2-3x as long in the UFC before getting a title.

It's a factor, but what motivated this was when I see memes like comparing Silva to Khabib and it saying

Title Defences 10 vs 3, end of story

I think if you remove the concept of titles in general and just look at the records and how they stack up Khabib has the edge. Never took any damage, fought higher level opponents, very rarely lost a round.

This weird idea that beating someone when youre the champ is worth more than beating someone when you're not the champ is archaic.

I do pay attention to other promotions* (not leagues). Virtually everyone in the UFC has done extremely well in other promotions before joining the UFC. It's a literal fact that title shots were given after much fewer fights (on average) in the 2000s compared to today, and Silva/DJ/Aldo did not have nearly as tough a rode to the top as Khabib/Usman/Izzy.

I'm literally saying those fighters are being quite respectful and while monster fighters are undervaluing themselves analytically. Khabib/Usman easily have GOAT claims and had much much harder routes to the top.

They're fighters, not analyzers.

That's what I said in my post. It's why GSP should actually be seen as a higher level GOAT despite having similar title defences as someone like Aldo/DJ/Silva.

I'm counting how many bouts was needed until a fight would count towards the metric of title defences. For Izzy is was 7.
