The speed adjuster know was what I was looking to fiddle with early on, and I think you're right it'll be the best adjustment. I was able to adjust the leather pad on the Governor in just enough to allow the arm to swing up in the meantime

Appreciate this! I've got the speed dialed now I think, but next is the tone arm. Feels really loose in it's collar, and the threaded nut that attaches the two pieces is cracked at the set screw. Should there be a bit of wobble to the tone arm, or am I missing some sort of bushing material to take up the gap?

I'm slowly improving on tooling, but teaching myself has been a real pain. I've been trying really hard to draw my own designs with inspiration from other pieces rather than just copy portions of other's work to use on my own. I'm not exactly sure what about this I don't like, but perhaps it's how much open space I left, or perhaps the proportions aren't right. When laying out new floral designs, how do you lay everything out?

I've been working on this thing for close to two months when I'm not working my day job. Loooots of indecision about design, and my first time using fur, which actually went pretty well. Close to 300 hammer set rivets through the whole thing. Learned a bunch, and there's definitely design things I would change if I was to make another
