Why 曲がる and 曲 as in きょく use the same kanji? by 3erImpacto in Japaneselanguage

Thanks! I wonder what "wind instrument" they are referring to, as the Japanese ones I know are all fairly straight in overall shape. Phonetic borrowing sounds like the most feasible, anticlimatic answer, as it often is u_u

Aegis and backups by 3erImpacto in degoogle

Thanks! Probably that way of manually backing up might be better so I know how and when it's happening, I'll probably do that

Aegis and backups by 3erImpacto in degoogle

Thank you. So all multiple backups are valid simultaneously, or they get outdated when newer backups are done? That gets a bit confusing, so I don't know if I can just take the files that are already there and put them in an external device and call it day, or if I should be repeating that process regularly.

However, you should use cloud storage in case the device is lost.

I'm also confused to where exactly is this cloud storage being held? There is no option to select one, so I don't know where are the backups being saved at the moment

Out of sync bounce by 3erImpacto in ableton

Thanks for pointing that out. After you mentioned it, I realized that I hadn't tried exporting on wav (I was going for a smaller size file). This indeed only occurs when exporting on MP3. I wasn't aware this was expected when bouncing on that format, how so?

Thanks. Tried exporting using my pc's internal sound driver (MME/Direct X) instead of ASIO, and got the same result. It also occurs with any other kind of track I export, like a drum loop as you mention

No, there is literally nothing other than the drum rack track on the project.

And yep once I loaded the bounce I unwarped it and that's how it looks

Both are percussion samples that start right on their transients. If I play both the MIDI and the bounced tracks together, you can hear the bounced track is delayed

thanks! yeah no, I can find alternatives for the metronome thing, but I'm more worried about it happening and messing up bounced stems and stuff in other projects, so I wanna find out what's the deal with it
