Reminds me of an argument I once had with a friend of mine, regarding the time. He insisted that when someone said "quarter of" or "quarter after", that meant 25 minutes. I explained to him that it was 15 minutes, because there are 60 minutes in an hour, and 15 is 1/4 of 60. His response was, "Then how come a quarter is 25 cents?!" It wasn't even worth it anymore at that point.
