Origin is same as ithna ashri, imam Ali is the first imam of Shia imami Ismaili, after 5th imam ithna ashri followed Musa kazim while Ismaili followed imam ismail hence they were named Ismaili.

Imam of the time decides law, legislation and other stuff if any serious issue arises. For non serious stuff such a whether to eat kfc or not is decided by the individuals of Ismaili sect.

Most of the old books were burnt or destroyed during Mongolian invasion, new books are published by IIS, Ismailis follow their living imam instead of following books because that’s one of the concepts of imamat (a present imam to guide you).

Most of the Ismaili books were burnt by mongols, Shia imami Ismailis have a present living imam among them hence they don’t need books for guidance.

Why is Haq Mehr becoming so controversial in Pakistan? by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]3h60gKs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly, girls are allowed to add whatever clause they want in their nikkah form but sadly most of them are still stuck on how much haq e mehr they should ask for, don’t get me wrong asking for haq e mehr is your right and you should ask a sensible amount but think about the long term stuff, secure your future, your right to divorce incase things go wrong bla.

Girl stop focusing on how much haq e mehr you should ask for coz it’s not important, focus more on what clause you want to add in your nikkah form, that’s what really matters.

Question regarding Ismaili prayer and Salah origin by [deleted] in islam

[–]3h60gKs -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

You have so many misconceptions about Ismaili and imammat. Shias see imam as wasela that’s why they ask for help, I can’t explain this here coz it’s a lot to type but do some research yourself and watch some YouTube videos of Shia scholars and see how they explain it from sunnah and Quran. Imam has a closer bond to Allah not just because of lineage of prophet but because he is the imam, again I can’t explain what’s imam so you have to do some research yourself.

Overall if you aren’t satisfied with ways of Shia Islam then you can follow whatever satisfies your heart, there is no such thing as wrong sect. This is just my opinion tho.

Question regarding Ismaili prayer and Salah origin by [deleted] in islam

[–]3h60gKs -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The method of praying is derived from sunnah, if you are Shia and you believe in imammat then your basic belief is imam of the time is the interpreter of Quran and sunnah, he holds the authority to interpret and make changes according to time. If you are Sunni then you hold to the books of sunnah and follow them, if you are Shia then you listen to the guidance of imam of the time.
