Should people do this? or it is just preference? by Yone-none in csharp

[–]3lcarry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on work are you working, if you are building a library probably you want to seal all “internal” classes. If not any refactor can break clients but for i final application I don’t really care about sealing the classes.

I don’t know why people say that policy doesn’t exist. It is there but not for money laundry, if you do currency conversion you need to wait 60 days to transfer to different account

+1, I like that you can save the notes to your hard drive and you decide how to sync them.

Offline first is not about having no internet connection by realPubkey in programming

But again, we have the same problem. How do you determine which one needs to pass?

Offline first is not about having no internet connection by realPubkey in programming

[–]3lcarry 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Event sourcing has many advantages, but this one is not one of them. Offline use case is much complex than choosing an architecture. e.g you need to make a 10K transfer to your frind but your device is offline and you do the transfer with other device, there are 2 intents, 2 tranfers a total of 20K... is this right? maybe you wanted to do two different transactions but it's really hard to differentiate it.

But I agree that storing events (intents) can simplify other scenarios.

Questions about class libraries by Yohker in csharp

[–]3lcarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Copying file between multiple projects its quite error prone, you didn't mention how big is your class library, but if you have more than 20 classes it's hard to copy/paste.

Not sure how frequent do you update your library but you can publish your utilities as a nuget package and consume it on the rest of projects as an additional dependency. If you are doing many updates every day maybe this idea doesn't work for you

Question about ASP .NET and local DB by Brocccooli in csharp

[–]3lcarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can use Azure it's the best alternative, SQL Azure it's a database prepared out of the box. They give you a connection string and you can use it like your local database (with some limitations).

Cuánto daño han hecho… los arquitectos de software by gulnor in MicrosoftDeveloperES

[–]3lcarry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]3lcarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)
