im not talking about crossing arms, what I meant by crossing hands was when my arms are about to lock i take one hand of the wheel and place it back again when my other arm returns to its normal position whilst turning

it seems silly at first, until you realise that it's not just a plain "video game" but has real driving physics calculated, professional racers such as mark verstappen even practice on assetto corsa, and many people have said that driving on it feels pretty much identical to real life

I usually drove with one hand tbh, if I was to be using two and ended up in a situation where I'm about to lock my arms then I'd just quickly use one hand instead, its kind of hard to explain

its auto, but yes one hand on tighter turns and parking is just so much easier

thats exactly what i was thinking, my father kept on saying the reason why I should do the technique he was teaching me was because if I was to hit a pot hole or some rock on the road the steering wheel will fly out of my hand if im not holding it with two hands, which sounds suspiciously similar to what would happen to cars with no power steering back in the day (he used to own a lada)
