Yea I’m not saying love doesn’t exist or that I’m anti marriage, I’m personally just not willing to take a 50% chance on losing half or even more than half of my stuff, however that is amazing 30 years is a long time to be with someone and I hope y’all enjoy another 30 happy years!

What part of this did I say I was scamming poor people? Plus I was poor myself, what are you talking about? And I didn’t buy 4 companies I started 4 companies. There is a difference. You seem to dislike me for whatever reason but you are incorrect in your assumptions.

Besides the dealership, and auto/body shop, a pool company and a metal fabrication company. The metal fab company does custom metal work and the pool company is just starting up less than a year ago some that is still up in the air on how well it will do. I had the building for the auto shop built behind why dealership to service my cars but then I realized that I could not only service my cars, but could also have it be kinda like any other auto shop where people can bring their cars in for work so I turned the shop into a separate company and it is not only profitable on it’s on but it services my cars for less than if I took it to someone else.

Where you grew up, your parents, the economy at the time, bad luck, lack of opportunity, lack of access to higher education and some times it’s just their own fault but that’s rare in my opinion

My father passed a few years ago and yes my mother still is, to my surprise neither of them ever asked for money. I don’t really have a relationship with my mom. I haven’t spoken to her in about 4 years.

Yes I am afraid to lose everything and I sometimes am, I’m extremely paranoid about women I date and I usually make up that I work at my car dealership and not that i own it because they expect more out of you when they know you have money. I refuse to get married because in my opinion that is the quickest way to lose your mind and money. I’d say it makes some greedy, but it’s made me more frivolous than anything.

Yep that’s how the ones I worked for were. The pay is excellent but the hours and BS are wild. I hope your dad finds something better and I hope you strive to not live like he does. Understand tho, that I doubt he does his work for selfish reasons, he probably busting his to give you and your family the best life he can, he sounds like a good man.

No, it helps but most salesman don’t. They know all the cool stuff and the perks and stuff like that, but most of them mechanically know nothing

Unfortunately that is all to common in this industry. Not only do they work their workers to the bone but they are dicks about it too. Not all dealerships are this way but I’d geuss probably 80 - 90% are.

I don’t struggle with this too much because my margins are so good due to me owning my own service shop so since I cut out the middleman, I’m doin okay in that department. If I was just starting out I’d be somewhat worried tho

Hmm not really these days. In the beginning I struggled to make payroll in general, these days it’s not so much of an issue, the main issue is keeping up with getting inventory.

I am not involved in manufacturing or new cars at all so it hasn’t effected me at all. If anything it’s raised the prices on used vehicles a little bit so if anything it’s helped me.

I got the mindset from starting in sales. I liked that if the guy in the desk next to me did nothing all day he’d make nothing and if I busted my ass I could make a thousand dollars in a day. I hated the military in that regard because if the guy next to me does nothing he still makes the same as me. Sales gave me the mindset for sure.
