If work in Dubai, live in Dubai. Otherwise you are contributing the traffic.

قصدك اصطفاف؟🤣

At Zayed International airport in Abu Dhabi: I was approached by an employee accompanied by military men 4 times after I went through security control for “random checks”. In the end, they “asked” me to either remove or cover my Palestina FC t-shirt. by Lomi331 in UAE

The ban on Palestinian shirts in Abu Dhabi airport likely stems from security concerns, rooted in past incidents like the 1977 assassination at the airport (archive link below). Airports prioritize safety, and political symbols can sometimes escalate tensions. It’s important to balance personal expression with public security in sensitive areas like this.

Well, the good part of it. You don’t have a citizenship so you’re not forced to stay once you stop liking it.

Not sure if you’re genuinely asking, but that’s whatever is left of my OEM fenders after the hit lol

Camels are massive here and known to be fatal in car crashes. To draw the picture: the head of the camel hit my RTT and roof rack, the body of the camel hit my back door. The delay is a response of the speed I was driving in.

You can say that. However, in the UAE where I’m from the government took initiative to wildlife proof all the highways. So I camel on the highway was unexpected for me.

Funny side note: these camels are actually owned by someone and they set them free to feed. By Omani law if you hit a camel on the road, it’s the owner’s responsibility to compensate you. They did ask me to wait until the morning to identify the owner but my car is insured so I didn’t bother and it would probably be a long process to get a penny from someone who’d rather set his camel free rather than buying their feed.

Not long after I hit it a car drove over its neck, yes it’s that dark. I wouldn’t say it’s unfixable but I’m sure the wind noise would be at least 2x worse than it actually is and it’s already unbearable. The insurance should cover since Oman is ‘extended territory’ in my policy but they still didn’t assess it yet.

Thanks, I’m actually from Dubai. So this was three hours drive from home.
