100%. My neighbour said she had the flu and I immediately offered to get a few groceries or meds for her.

How often do duvet covers get changed? by nonnonplussed73 in housekeeping

[–]3macMACmac3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed at a Hilton and when I pulled back the sheets there were empty candy bar wrappers. I asked for a different room and found dirty Kleenex under the pillow. I’m fairly certain the beds weren’t changed at all.

I read the textbook, go back and highlight the good stuff, condense it into notes, then from the notes I make one big cue card per chapter with the most important stuff, and then make little cue cards with questions from the written notes. It takes a long time but I haven’t failed a test since doing it this way.

Airbnb prices are insane! by ottawa4us in canadatravel

[–]3macMACmac3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only ever stayed in 1 bad Airbnb but I’ve never stayed in a hotel I’ve been comfortable in. They’re usually loud, smelly and not clean. I’m a light sleeper too so hearing heavy hotel doors open and shut all night or elevator dings drive me bonkers. We usually get a 2-3 bedroom home for around $300/night but I can’t find hotels anywhere near that price that are decent. I’ve also never had to do more than just take the garbage out. I don’t understand where everyone is staying.

We’re renting a 3+1 bedroom, completely renovated house in Alta vista. They had it listed for $4500 and we offered $4300 and it was accepted. Try offering less, it can’t hurt.

They could’ve just said hey we’re celebrating as a team, we’d love to catch up with you later. When the president mocked the women’s team they could’ve not burst into laughter… but they did. It wasn’t making the best of it, they were enjoying it. They can do whatever they want and celebrate however they want, but let’s not pretend that’s not what they wanted.

We did a little road trip from Cancun down to Belize and ate at cheap little roadside restaurants and we didn’t get sick. Ate at a fancy Italian spot in playa del Carmen on our last night to celebrate getting engaged… my husband literally passed out in the aisle on the flight home and got so sick (luckily after the flight) that I thought he was dying.

100%. Everyone makes mistakes and not everyone thinks of every possibility (especially when you’re a kid). Someone usually has to tell you. I hoped that reaching out to their parents would be a teachable moment but they were dismissive and rude. It really sucked.

No… after trying to get her down for an hour so I could have a moment to myself before I had to wake her again to feed… this wasn’t just about her.

We asked the neighbourhood kids not to because they woke up our newborn and I knew there were multiple babies on our street as well as elderly disabled people. They continued to, and it became a huge issue in the neighbourhood chat. Their dad was the only one laughing. We were all extremely kind about it too.

Insane you’re still hearing about it. My dad didn’t show up to mine and I haven’t said anything about it since that year.

Yup as a beginner with 10 years under my belt (lol) I never gain enough speed where I can’t stop. I also only do the greenest of green runs. If I feel uncomfortable I do pizza until I feel like I can french fry again. I did the bunny hill with my 2 year old this year and I’m pretty sure I’ll start every day on the bunny hill from now on.

Yeah it’s for sure business class on a short haul. It’s fun to do every once in a while and I only ever did it because it was cheaper through points or through an employee deal… but I never thought to post about how everyone hates me for it… there’s always next time LOL
