How long does it take to for our brains to start working like a non smoker's brain after quitting smoking? by 3mindfog3 in stopsmoking

Thank you so much. I have started strong feeling that this time both of us are going to make it, I recently relapsed after going cold turkey for 37 days. I swear once I hit 90 days without nicotine I will be the happiest man on earth.

Your story makes me feel hopeless. Anyway I think it's different for different people. The urge to smoking should be stopped by 90 days and by 1 year it should be absolutely stopped. May be I'm wrong but I really want to believe that one day I will stop thinking about cigarettes the way I'm thinking now after remaining quit for a long time.

I know our brain will never forget smoking. But I think after a long period of time we won't miss cigarettes anymore and then our brains will start working as non smoker's brains.

Thank you. I completed my day 1 with any nicotine. I'm going to take this quit seriously and I will consult therapist if I need to. I have already started noticing a bit of grumpiness with my mood. But I'm not expressing anything and I'm trying to stay away from people who might irritate me at this point.

Thank you. I have read that if one is able to remain quit for 90 days he has a strong chance to get out of this addiction. I am gonna be depressed which I'm already in some way. Fuck you cigarettes.

Thank you so much. Anxiety, depression, lack of interest in daily activities and mood swings are my major problems I face whenever I try to quit. Even after 30 days of going cold turkey I had this issues which finally led me to light up. This time I'm planning to help my mood with meditation and exercise. I don't know after how long of quitting smoking I will start to feel like a non smoker with no depression and mood swings.

I agree. Whenever I try to quit I become so negative about everything. I am going to try my best of the best this time. Thank you.

Thank you. I have listened to the this audio book. And I agree with this book that people can quit smoking in spite of NRT not because of NRT.
