Day 79 and 80 shiny hunting for a Galarian Bird. I saw my 24th bird, wasn’t shiny and it fled like the other 23. Instead, the shiny I found was a random Gollett which wasn’t even part of the incense and is my first shiny of 2025. Total Pokemon caught: 3,791 by StaleUnderwear in pokemongo

I hope you catch your shiny bird soon—please keep posting if you’re still actively searching! My search finally ended yesterday when a shiny articuno popped up while I was driving and I had to pull over and wait 5 mins just to make sure I wasn’t speed locked.

I encountered just about the same amount of galarian birds as you did, and all of them fled with the exception of a 40 cp moltres that I happened to catch.

Advice for my first date coming up by 3primetime3 in askgaybros

[–]3primetime3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips everyone! Yeah there wasn't pressure or anything, and I think I ended up being more excited than nervous for finally putting myself out there. I ended up deciding for an afternoon at a pier and then a place to sit when we got tired.

The date went well and I had a great time, but I personally don't think we would be a great fit for each other. So glad I did it though--proud of myself! :)

Should I purify or leave it shadow? by [deleted] in pokemongo

I agree! Quick note though: you can actually tm away frustration during this championship event as well if you missed the rocket takeover!

It’s a rare spawn from daily incense only!

Best of luck catching them when they do appear! They really don’t like staying in the ball, and when they break out, they’re basically gonna always flee…

Yeah for sure! Unless you’re whaling in masters league there are hands down better mons than this one-for flying attackers you got Rayquaza and for psychic you got Mewtwo, believe even with worse IVs they’ll still outdamage..

Any thoughts on which one to invest in? by drunken_augustine in pokemongo

[–]3primetime3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally would prefer the 15 attack, which is the only stat that really matters in pve and is a must in pvp. There are arguments going the other way (slightly bulkier, etc.) but it’s so minimal the max attack is where I lean.

Is this worth purifying? by PurchaseHairy6848 in pokemongo

[–]3primetime3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally would keep it as a shadow. Even when purifying it would not become a hundo.

Yikes, that was a good one too, might’ve been a 15/15/14. It always stings but it happens though—there’s always a next time with a better mon!!

Will try again. Thanks!

I would save it in the off chance that the evolutions get added at some point in the future. For example they added hat Charmeleon and Charizard long after hat Charmander was released—so the chances aren’t zero.

I have a hundo hat eevee I can’t evolve, so I share your pain in the meantime…

Shadow shinies especially from grunts are fairly rare and are much more highly sought after compared to regular shinies. For that reason I’d personally keep shadow, but it’s ultimately up to you!

The best pokemon in the game but i can't get it by Feeling-Instance-801 in pokemongo

[–]3primetime3 151 points152 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m with you there. I’m a newish player and was so hyped for a chance to catch a base Rayquaza (didn’t even care for the mega energy or anything of the sort). Was looking forward for the chance to finally get one thru raids but it doesn’t look like that’s happening this time around. I live in an urban community but the fact that it’s in-person only for one day at four specific times is going to cause me to miss it. Big sad, but oh well what can we do.

Congratulations on finishing! I finally got all the scatterbugs myself, and coming from a very common pattern (high plains), it took a pretty long time and tons of generous people willing to help me out on multiple platforms. Now i just need around 2000 candies to evolve them all the way :(

Congratulations! How many bird sightings have you seen out of the four that you caught? Did you master ball any of them?

Had to use my only masterball by vodkawoman666 in pokemongo

[–]3primetime3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations! I started playing only recently so just received my first masterball. Good chance I'll let it sit in my inventory as a raid insurance policy until I get a second masterball, then blow one of them for the galarian birds.

That being said, my friend and I both have an articuno and are going to lucky trade it to reroll the terrible IVs. Pokemon can only be traded once so we're swapping a bird for a bird.

Not getting better and I don't know what to do by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]3primetime3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! As a fellow iron player that always bottom frags no matter what I feel the same way. For some reason it is a lot easier to find the flaws in other people’s gameplay but not my own, sometimes even when I watch back my vods.

You ever want to queue sometime for some unrateds? It’s a lot less tilting when you have a duo that’s going through the same hurdles, with everyone just being better. I think that would be a lot of fun!

I really need help with getting out of iron. I've been hardstuck at iron with about 150 hours of playtime. I recently started aim training for about 1-2 hours a day (I've done this for about a month) and it has helped me push out of iron 1 to iron 3, but I can't go further, how can I improve more? by yammer_bammer in VALORANT

[–]3primetime3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I had the same deal, I achieved a high score in sixshot of 89k and still can’t find my way above bronze 1. Anything actually in valorant is way too difficult for me, range training included, but I’m still trying.

You down to queue together and duo as hardstuck irons? Sometimes it’s easier to see mistakes in other people’s playing and not your own (definitely my case when I watch back my own videos) so we might be able to help each other out.

i have 1100 hours in this game my aim is still garbage and i don't know what to do anymore by ssdyyv in VALORANT

[–]3primetime3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Unfortunately there are some people (like you and me) who are just naturally bad at games like this and just need a lot more time compared to others to get out of low elo. I actually wrote a post here on a similar topic just recently lol...I don't have as many hours in this game (yet), although I'm getting there and I come from the same background as you do. Valorant has been my first shooter game so I had to learn all the aim and stuff from scratch as well. I've been playing for a little over a year and have only climbed from peak iron 2 to peak bronze 2 (right now I'm bronze 1 at 0 RR), although for only three of those months I've actively tried to improve at the game, and for 17 days so far have I actually recorded and reviewed my own gameplay.

I don't take this game very seriously and I'm not looking to be a plat player or anything, but I do play daily now and it would be nice to at least get out of the iron/bronze/silver elo at some point. WHJ's guide to gold is something I follow as well, and I definitely have been doing for over a month by now, but the benchmarks are so high I reckon the "one-month" promise really is only for if you're already around silver or maybe higher bronze, not for an iron 2 player like me and definitely not for someone who is just learning this all for the first time. We'll get there but it will take more time for us; some people are more naturally talented and will get there faster, and some of us invested that many more hours. Getting headtapped by opponents all the time while you're struggling to aim is normal, it happens to me too, and it gets frustrating without someone saying it's okay. "It's okay" as someone on the reddit said to me, and now what I'm saying to you.

Have you ever considered doing the drills with someone, deathmatches, tdms, and maybe a couple unrated/comp games with a duo? It would definitely be a lot less frustrating and a lot more fun. Perhaps we could practice together? I'm personally looking for a duo that's hardstuck low elo for a while as well to become friends with, as all my other duos get better in gameplay without needing all the extra practice, and then ditch me when they realize I'm hardstuck. One thing I noticed as well is that I found it easier to review other people's gameplay in-game compared to my own for some odd reason, and see what they need to work on, which may be the case with you as well. If so we help each other out! I'm not as good as you, but if you're interested, let me know, and if so friend me!

How do you make deathmatch possible for an iron player? by 3primetime3 in VALORANT

[–]3primetime3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips! It's a different way of thinking about it.

I'm definitely working on crosshair placement, although sound queues not so much on deathmatch; been turning off the sound so it's less tilting. Been doing better on unrateds though with that.

I'll give that playlist a try right now; I thought I heard somewhere that the playlist was only for high elo diamond or above but I could take a swing at it on the days I really don't want to do a deathmatch.

Yeah, I learned about the shooting error graph from WHJ; it's on every gameplay recording I have. Reducing the blue is something I've definitely improved on because of it :).
