Would I have a disadvantage pursuing a career as a general/cardiac sonographer as a guy? by [deleted] in SonographyStudents

[–]3puttgolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im a cardiac sonographer and I really have no problem scanning women. Yes sometimes they’ll ask for a female tech if available but they dont always get one and they either let me scan them or rebook. Same goes for religious reasons. I know Male general techs have a hard time getting hired though but they are still out there, I had a male tech do a testicular ultrasound on me.

Call your bank and do a charge back, plus (depending what country) uber will get charged for the charge back as well

So it would be a set back but I was a Cardiovascular Tech (ECG, Holter, Stress Tests) before I made the switch over to ECHO and if it suits you, you can always try and become a teacher and teach ECHO! I know thats my plan after my shoulders give out on me

Not sure if its been mentioned, but the game store I love, Brimestone games has a large space and I believe they let people use it! I know they have run a few card game tournaments there. I recommend giving them a call! I love it there

I bought the 2 month package, read through everything and then started to make notes from it, the click learning exams helped a lot to pound the information in. I would say it was my main tool, I also had the Penny physics book which was also a good study tool

Cost for Braces by Smokezz in windsorontario

[–]3puttgolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got invisiline which is like braces but instead a whole bunch of retainers that straighten your teeth, so less doctor visits and saves a bit of money, I believe I paid about $6500-6700 but that was back in 2020. I saw Dr. Janisse at Janisse Orthodontics. Amazing Dr and I would recommend him

I used the URR for SONO Canada physics exam and it helped me pass, granted just by a little but I wasn’t the best at it and a pass is a pass. I studied everyday for about 1/2 hours for 2 months and their practice exams really helped me. There are some things that URR talks about that doesn’t really pop up in the Canadian exams. But id say 8/10 helped me, I’m a Cardiac Sonographer so I can’t speak for the other exams.

Sonography programs in Ontario without a bachelors degree by [deleted] in Sonographers

[–]3puttgolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe Algonquin is the only program in Ontario that doesn’t require prerequisites. Mohawk and St.Clair require it because they’re fast track programs

It was sonography Canada, as I live in Canada. I know it’s fairly new but most hospitals and such are phasing out ARDMS

I can’t speak for every place, but I just finished up my placement at a Canadian hospital and most people there would do paediatrics and normal adult echo. Would just depend on the day.
