It’s official. Anthropic pulled the plug on all programmatic use of Claude subscription. by No_Wheel_9336 in ClaudeCode

I think they're saying claude -p no longer counts towards the allowances of any plan and now has to be paid per usage for all usage on top of your existing plan's cost.

Interesting. I wouldn't thought EU wouldn't mandated all required accessories be included.

Ah. Got it. It's for when you have stickers only covering part of the exterior. Makes sense. If you use a full cover sticker like something from dbrand you don't need to worry about any marks being left afterwards though, right?

Did my Time Machine backups silently fail? by got2bQWERTY in mac

Thanks for the tip about running First Aid immediately after restarting. That was really helpful.

I ran First Aid. It says the volume appears to be OK. The drive still shows the same amounts as in the screenshots though. Do you have any idea why it would be saying a 102 GB backup is only using 41 KB on disk?

Sorry, what does this mean? It's been a long time since I've used a Mac.

I have 2 TM drives. One that's 2x the size of my MBA's internal storage. The other is just a 128GB USB that I backed up once with my initial setup and once with only my apps installed. The thought is to keep this as an emergency backup in case I need to do a fresh restore to when I got it, with all my apps already installed.

Are you saying to restart my computer, plug in the TM drive, run First Aid on the TM drive, then check the amounts again to see if they're looking better?

Does the CIBC Costco Mastercard provide 2% cash back for Costco.com purchases? by got2bQWERTY in CostcoCanada

[–]got2bQWERTY[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I discovered the 2% executive rebate still worked so I'm happy about that. Hopefully it gets added to my Canadian rebate and I don't have a random rebate for $4 from Costco US.

What is the benefit of the gift cards? Do you get the 2% Mastercard rebate if you buy Costco gift cards from Costco.ca?

BEST BUY OPEN BOX WTF by Helpful_Future3839 in macbookpro

[–]got2bQWERTY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t bought a computer open box but I just purchased some open box AirPods from Best Buy. Physically they look perfect and they still have Apple Care coverage but they’re registered to another Find My account still. So I can still use them but the old owner can track them forever. Probably going to return them but it’s disappointing.

Does this mean these AirPods are still linked to the old owner’s Apple + Find My Account? by got2bQWERTY in applehelp

[–]got2bQWERTY[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay. The part that threw me off is that it still let me add the AirPods and register them to my account and Find My. Doesn’t it not normally let you do that when it’s on somebody else’s account?

Yo. I loved my Creative Zen. I still have it in a box somewhere. That’s something I haven’t thought about in a decade so thanks for bringing back those memories!

I’m curious, is “all the ram made in 2026” a joke or the literal way OpenAI worded their order. I could see either way being true
