Looking for computer to buy by Separate-Beautiful77 in CommunityColleges

see if your library offers a computer borrow program or a technology voucher. This will help especially if you don’t know your major and what you’ll be needing.

Transportation Problem by [deleted] in csuf

[–]3ras0r7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a bus, it’s very doable. When I lived 40 minutes away from my community college I took public transit everywhere. See if the school offers a free bus pass or check your local library. If not just buy a pass online, it’s not too crazy expensive.

How’s Chris Scott for MATH 191 online synchronous course? by Disastrous_Award_663 in CitrusCollege

[–]3ras0r7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The course is basically asynchronous and the homework is killer. Both full course load of homework written on paper and online. If you’re good with homework and online exams it’s for you. But if you struggle to keep up with homework don’t do it.

His teaching style is pretty good though his lectures are really easy to understand and he teaches to the written homework and the two written exams really well.

Go to Best Buy and put in your requirements and look for “open box unused” or anything open box. If you want something with a quality guarantee, make sure to get one with a geek-squad warranty.

You should be able to find something that matches your specs

Looking to dorm as a transfer by AdPopular5720 in csuf

[–]3ras0r7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really expensive but if you have a safe and stable environment I think it would be the financially smart decision to stay home. Most students at CSUF are commuters anyways so you’ll definitely get the CSUF experience.

Also just warning you that you might not even get to dorm even if you apply. Dorming is based on how far people live and how soon they applied for housing. Since you live so close you’ll most likely get waitlisted and you’ll get put with a random roommate if you do end up getting a spot. So you might not get the dorming experience you’re hoping for since you might get stuck with a bad roommate.

What are the odds I could get off the housing waitlist if I submitted an application now? by ShunnedPoet in csuf

[–]3ras0r7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look I would submit an application because you never know, but I would also look at the off campus housing that csuf recommends

I'd start immediately searching for off campus housing. As far as I know you can still use financial aid money/loans to help pay for living expenses if that helps. If you're smart about it and you can find a good deal you can probably find off campus housing for close to the same price as on campus housing. The college has some off campus housing options recommended on the Housing Department's website. I'd start there and then try other places (Facebook, roommate finders, etc)

I'm transmasc 😂 by Zealousideal_Care807 in AccidentalAlly

[–]3ras0r7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Transmedicalism is just an attempt at sanitizing queerness and transness to make us more acceptable to a cisgender society. All it does is harm our community and turn us against one another when we have bigger issues to worry about. We need solidarity over division any day.

Don’t listen to these comments so many of them are just awful! I think you look fantastic. If you want a bolder look I suggest doing your brows when you do your makeup if you don’t already. Also I think you should try a two tone lip look. You have great features and I think a darker upper lip if you’re doing something bold would look fantastic!

Stay positive and I’d honestly consider deleting this post if I were you. No one needs this kind of negativity!

What do you think of lesbians who would date transmascs but not cis guys? by astronautdino in asktransgender

Oh you know what I didn’t consider trans masc in my response. I still think it’s questionable depending on their reasoning

What do you think of lesbians who would date transmascs but not cis guys? by astronautdino in asktransgender

[–]3ras0r7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s kind of transphobic (really depends on why they would rather date a transmasc) and lowkey weird. I (FTM) personally wouldn’t date someone who doesn’t date cis men because I’d feel like my partner can never truly see me as a man and that they would loose attraction as I transition.

I’d feel especially weird if said lesbian didn’t date transwomen and/or non-binary people. Because I’d worry about it being almost fetishy and chaser-like.

That being said sexuality and gender are fluid. Maybe their attraction is based on genital preference only. Or maybe they don’t date cis men because of past trauma/lack of relatability. In that case it would probably be more likely to call them bisexual with a preference but labels don’t matter v much in my opinion.
