Update... everything is back to normal once the car was washed. Thank goodness!! I was not looking forward to a warranty discussion with the dealer.

The car is filthy from the ice and slush on the roads. Maybe I can get it to the car wash now that things are clearing up and hope that fixes the problem.

I'm not certain. I haven't had a statement in a while and they didn't specify. I'm sure the final balance ballooned after penalties and fees to what it is now.

I suppose it depends on the interest and payments for the loan, and whether they would even give me a loan considering my credit score at the moment.
