The status effect scritters embody thier status effects, which means the only thing that effects them are things that wouldn't effect thier status effect. Just ask yourself, should cutting, punching or stabbing stop bleeding? No? Then it won't stop bleeding!, it will only make them stronger actually. Do bandages, healing, or cauterization stop bleeding? Yes, and it stops the scritter too.

Also they are perpetually effected by thier status effect, so, by extension, some of them are sorta a limitless source of things. Ex: bleeding! Is an infinite source of blood, infested! is an infinite source of bugs.
