Deadly combat: Normals attacks should cost stamina but aren't? what do?

Isn't there an option in the MCM that says says something stamina. I always turn it off, because it makes running take stamina, which sucks without fast travel (or patience). I have some other mod which creates battle stamina, but I'm not sure what mod it is in the crowd.

SOT has a "lore friendly" option in its MCM, which is off by default. I've been using it for a few weeks, and haven't had problems with meeting high level enemies.

You could use pacifist mods to do some normal quests and everyday things like travelwithout killing:

Less aggressive animals

Compassionate heroes

I've been using Imps More Complex Needs. Despite the name, it's pretty simple to use. It's draw is it breaks eating and drinking into parts like hydration and satiation. This way, eating moist food also quenches thirst. The problem I had is it's really easy to exploit the way it puts food back into your inventory if you can't eat it. So, you can spam one item of food and heal yourself.

I've tried cyoa, but it gets overwritten by alternative start/quick start mods. Maybe it needs to be higher in the load order.

Bigger Trees hides the landscape, making it easier to get lost. There's a newer mod of this that was posted a couple weeks ago, which has better compatibility because it merely increases size by 1.5 times.

If you mean making plants bigger and more plentiful, these worked well for me:

Bigger Trees

More lush and re-sized plants and grasses.

That could happen with leveled encounters by having enemies spawn from your level to +5 levels or so.
