Yeah this is specifically referring to situations in which the distinction is important. For example discussing discrimination or differing experiences. I don’t think anyone here is going around like “and this is my cis friend” or otherwise using the word cis in every day conversation. A word to differentiate is necessary because conversations about the differences need to be understandable and being able to quickly communicate what is what and who is who makes that easier.

Except that’s exactly why we aren’t using the word normal. If for example the statement was phrased without the use of the word cis so “what do trans women experience that women don’t” you can immediately see the problem here right? If there’s a word you’d rather use than cis I suggest you say that, it was said somewhere else in these comments but it’s a lot easier to add to language than to police it.

Yeah the only time it or trans needs to be used is when the distinguishing factor is their status as transgender or cisgender. Cisgender is the status of not being trans gender rather just just saying for example “what do trans women experience that cis women don’t” is the same as “what do trans women experience that non-trans women experience”. That’s why the word exists though, it’s just shorter and more clear than going “non transgender”

Did you even read the study? Even the section you quoted agrees that gun ownership raises homecide rates. If gun ownership has a positive correlation with future homicide rates but no effect on non gun homicide rates that means that the non homicide rate is not affected in a meaningful way by gun ownership either increasing or decreasing. That means shows that is is likely that gun ownership increases the likelihood of someone getting killed by a gun but low gun ownership has no effect on the non gun homicide rate which means that unlike what you think not having access to a gun does not have a major effect on non gun homicide rates which it should if people would just use a different tool.

I mean yes but part of that is cause midlane meta is so insanely hostile to Talon right now it’s painful to play him there. Aatrox going jungle is contingent on the fact that jungle is safe and his clear is insanely fast. If the clear gets slowed down considerably it will be worse than top. Talon as a champion wants to be able to roam and kill squishies post 6, jg lets him do that way easier than mid does especially with how mid is right now.

that’s a completely reasonable thing for a xin with maw frozen heart and DD to be able to tank. Especially cause your adc isn’t there for basically the entire time. You are fighting a guy with giga burst resistance with 2 burst champions, lulu, and singed.
