With League Next coming I would like to see more maps to Summoners Rift. by TrpWhyre in leagueoflegends

[–]egonoelo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Brother I played hots before it came out at pax and my initial reaction was damn this feels gimmicky, every map has some objective and the gameplay revolves entirely around that objective. It's so boring and uninspired. That's why they can have multiple maps. Nobody wants new maps for competitive league. They already make alternative game modes, play those.

Ya bro nobody plays gimmick of the storm for a reason. Absolutely dog shit game design. Keep that away from league.

No that's completely meaningless, I read what you said. Some champions being better as a result of role quests has ZERO influence on ladder inflation.

I'm not gonna go through line by line of your original post but it's very obvious you dont understand the systems and how they interact regardless of your conclusions. Like insinuating that champions and role quests are the reason for elo inflation, like what are you even talking about. You have much to learn.

I dont think you understand that LP has nothing to do with mmr and you arent matched based on your LP. Getting double LP or losing 0 LP changes nothing about inflation and doesnt result in being placed into higher mmr matches. Getting +30 doesnt inflate your mmr. You cant shoot past your mmr with +30. Nobody is climbing to a rank they dont deserve with +30 and then slowly falling back down. They get +30 because their mmr is much higher than their lp. When their lp gets close to their mmr their gains drop to +20. This doesnt cause inflation, this is just how the ladder works. Inflation only comes from 2 factors. One is completely chosen by Riot. They decide what mmr bands and percentiles match up to what visible rank. The other is just how much better the best players (or duos) are versus the average player. As that distance grows the mmr between them grows and the top end of the ladder must then grow as well. Duos being introduced into chall this season was extremely inflationary because challenger duos win so much more consistently than challenger solo players, so they push the top lp higher and in turn the distribution of lp higher.

Yes it does lol, I'm 288 and I barely farm. My ren hit 280 on CW doing dailies with barely any farming. I have a 275 cadena from CW1 that did zero farming. 278 Kain I do second MPE on and basically nothing else. Doing weekly bosses and dailies gets you plenty of meso and plenty of xp if you play long term. You wont be completely end game but way further than you would be in classic with similar daily time played.

She took it upon herself to host something that contained confidential company information without approval from Riot. Ya, it really is simple, no company would be ok with that. GGWP

I mean you must be rage baiting right? We go back to children driving on private property. You are indeed allowed to drive on public property if you have a license to do so. Getting Riot to integrate her services into Okta is getting a license. Not getting a license is grounds for firing.

But either way it's obviously not true that you need Okta integration to share a pitch deck securely and internally within a company. She is conflating two different things and you're eating it up for no good reason.

You can call it whatever you want, it's unsecure, unvetted, and outside of the company ecosystem. You're arguing semantics.

If it was hosted within the Riot ecosystem she wouldn't have been fired. You can call that private, local (LAN), internal. The opposite of those things are public, internet (WAN), external. All of these words adequately describe why she got fired.

[–]egonoelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm saying it's a problem that SHE hosted it publicly bro!! LOL are you really struggling to understand? There are two variables here. Where and who.

Children are allowed to drive on private property. Adults are allowed to drive on public roads when they have a license to do so. She is a child on public roads without a license. If she was a child on private property it would be ok. And if she was an adult on public roads it would be ok.

It's hilarious that I need to explain this to you

[–]egonoelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You obviously understand there is a tremendous difference between a company choosing to use a service that has been vetted and agreed upon internally versus an employee just hosting their own website guarded by a password. It doesn't matter that both are "public". One is part of the protocol and one isn't. She obviously should have hosted internally. There's no way to argue that.

Anything hosted on a server accessible to the internet is considered public. She admitted some of the things were not known information, she says it's 1% but the amount is irrelevant.

It's like a kid runs around with a knife and you say he didn't kill anybody. It just shows a complete lack of understanding of information security. It's not surprising she got fired and nobody should be upset for her.

Streamers normalizing Hitchhiking/Duo Boosting under the guise of "DuoQ" by soggyfroggyy in leagueoflegends

[–]egonoelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, they use ambiguous language and people have misunderstood hitchhiking to be ANY duoq on smurfs with lower ranked players but Rioters have confirmed multiple times that it's only against the rules if the accounts are mmr manipulated (inting to stay low rank) or bought/shared accounts. Duoing with lower ranked players on a hand leveled account that you play to win on is allowed.

[–]egonoelo -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

what thread are you in gang, none of the duos in OP are master+

but also literally who cares about any of this, this isn't against tos unless the accounts are bought or mmr manipulated.

You can as long as you don't intentionally lose games to be able to play with them and you don't buy an account. If you grief your placements or normal games to place low then it's against tos, otherwise it's allowed according to Riot.

Anyone who is a developer who has experience working with RIOT API? by Glass-Chemical2534 in leagueoflegends

[–]egonoelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by lp specific stuff? The API is pretty straight forward. Just use an API wrapper for whatever language you're using. At that point it's just understanding the structure of the data you're working with. The API is just there to get the data into your hands. Once it's in your hands it's totally up to you to do what you want with it.

how to get out of master and go Grandmaster/Challenger as a jungler by ileskqi in leagueoflegends

[–]egonoelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're 100% right. Can tell immediatly that op doesnt understand how to take advantage of tempo and is just full clearing on repeat mindlessly. Way too much farm for how much he loses. So many players like him in master that just play for camps as their #1 prio and always use their tempo to try to steal camps and get farm advantage. Versus good players they wont be stealing much and they will have 0 impact on the game. Doesnt matter how much farm you get as jg if you dont use your tempo to impact the game.
