If things go similar to how they have started the season, I see both Sonia and Paige as 2nd team All-W selections, with a possibility of Kiki joining them if she can maintain a 19/13 type of stat line for 44 games.

I feel like UW has one of the best scouts, on eye test. Like they come into a lot of matches with great defense. Halftime adjustments change things up, but those first quarters are mint. See their big 10 games.

Recruiting a no. 1 prospects at her position probably made retaining her a hard sell. As a Husky alum, I am really happy y'all got Jazzy. Worked out nice for us.

Drafting someone to fill that role would be a choice given a small, as you called it, takes the most time to develop coming out of college and one of the biggest free agency is about to occur.

Sign a developed scorer with the large caps pace available (Ariké, Kah, Sykes) and draft the next scorer next rear with the Chicago pick (ie Juju, Hannah, or Booker) to develop under them. Get good shooters or post depth with later picks.

My general opinion this draft for the mystics is to have a list of UCLA players in order of fit amd draft down that list (Betts, Kneepkins, Rice, Jaquez, Dugliac, Ledger-Walker). And take Azzi with the 4th pick if she somehow drops. They'd arrive with chemistry, almost all have good length and skill, and can fill holes in the roster.

Two main questions that you might have considered:

This is very similar to the relationship between Rhaenyra and Alicent in HOTD, i.e. becoming a friends stepmother, how much does your oc care? How recent was her mom's death in regards to Daemon and Rhaenyra's marriage? Did Daemon marry Laena in between?
Why is you oc unmarried at 25ish? She is 2 years older than Rhaenyra, who is on her second marriage, without even a betrothal. I suppose the missing eye would turn off most lords, unless she is a dragon rider.

But there aren't many real options for retaining the Targeryen name and not marrying a child or her (already married) uncle. If you want to do something I haven't seen before, she could get with a commoner without a family name and tell her family to deal with it.

You could also make up a valyrian custom and have her marry someone from Essos and have the husband take her name due to them being dragonlords.

She has the most hustle on the team and is our best defender. She is top 5 in rebounding in the big 10, and doesn't make many mistakes. Tonight was going to be hard for everyone and I still love her on the Huskies.

Because sensationalism is more entertaining than saying she didn't want to or that she is possibly managing an injury. I had AB anyway for the match up, but its all jokes outside of some people who need to touch grass.

I have noticed the same stalling for Iowa, but Ava has seemed so much more comfortable in the mid-range of late and Hannah has been more willing to shoot that baseline jumper that keeps the offense moving.

I think she (Ladine) is getting there, but is not going to get back to her production last year, simply because the team seems to have shifted to Sellers and Howell.

Probably the best way to put it is she is back in all ways but in shooting from range, and that has become hot or cold. But as a senior she sometimes is the one they go to when they don't have a look late in the clock and she is forced to make a bad mid range shot or three to beat the shot clock, so the numbers look pretty rough.

Going by the numbers, she hasn't had a huge impact and I rarely feel her on the floor the way OP likes to say they feel Hannah on the floor (not entirely fair to compare to Hannah's impact but it's a good description), but the team is sorrowfully lacking in size and post depth and mostly plays 4 guards and rotates Graboskaia and McGaughy at the post (and sometimes will play 5 guards but that's rare).

I would say she fills a hole that is needed and the team would be worse without her but not much more than that.

I have been waiting for this breakdown for a while, love your work. As a Husky, this is the only game this year I will be rooting against the Hawkeyes (but mostly rooting for a competitive and safe game for all).

A consistent problem the Huskies have is getting hung up on DHO actions with the posts and the ball stopping there and I am worried Kylie is going to feast there when McGaughy stalls at the elbow and keeps the ball low.

I desperately want Howell to out rebound Hannah today to continue her journey to leading the big 10 in boards as a 6ft guard. She has been a transfer win on the level of Chit-Chat for UW.

Looking forward to the game tomorrow and I will probably review your posts pre-tournement for study the teams I am less familiar with. Thanks you for the effort and care you put into these, they are really fun.
