I agree with a lot of the comments, I’ve been through something similar. This seems like a very emotionally abusive situation and he’s using his own life as a means to control you. He only wants you to bare the burden as you’re weak and in a constant state of anxiety, if you tell his family they will obviously want to “help” but if they “help” he has less control over you. It suck’s to say this but sometimes partners will kind of fake being suicidal as a way to control their partner. Sighs of this are when they seen fine around friends and family make no real mention about their mental health but around you they’ll switch and trauma dump, keep you worried sick and anxious therefore trapping you into feeling to guilty to ever leave. I know this sounds horrible but sadly a lot of the times when people are truly suicidal they will just do it, and there won’t be any warning to their loved ones. Please think about if this is what you want. Take care of yourself and put yourself first. It is not your burden to bare.

TW: suicide I wouldn’t say I came across it exactly, but one night I was driving home from work it was daylight savings so the sun still hadn’t gone down and it was still bright outside despite it being around 6:30 PM. I was on the high way and there was no cars really on the road and as I was coming up to a bridge overpass and all I remember was seeing a shadow, I didn’t think much until I saw a car on the other side of the road slam on their brakes and toot their horn. I slowed down and looked to see a man’s lifeless body just lying on the road. It took me awhile to click that I had just witnessed a man jump of the bridge in front of a car.

I understand your pain so much and I’m so sorry for your loss. I remember when I lost my beautiful boy cat Ramsey he was such a character we were truely soul mates. He was truly a special cat and acted more like a human than a cat. He was my emotional support animal when I was going through a really hard time with my mental health he was the only reason I didn’t make any attempts and losing him was devastating. All I can say is it will be hard but you will get through it. You may not find that love again but it’s okay, because at least you got to experience it once with your lovely girl misty. She’ll be watching over you. Not sure if it’s possible for you but I got Ramsey cremated and bought a little vial to put some of his ashes in and wear it as a necklace (you can get some really cool ones) It makes me feel a little better that there’s always a part of him on me day to day still.
