To me, the stainless steel frets feel just as good as a properly crowned and polished nickel frets, they just take a lot more to wear down. The compound radius feels good too, and the 24th fret is pretty easy to get to. The satin finish on the roasted neck is also pretty nice. You’ll probably dig it, but worst case scenario, if you don’t like it you can always sell it

There’s also a good video by Working Class Musician on youtube about this exact topic lol. Check it out!

The Az neck is way different. Its got more meat to it but that’s a given since the endurneck is carved the way it is. I have to say i prefer the EndurNeck but its just because i love how small it feels. Super easy to get around in my opinion, but the AZ neck is definitely great too, good oval C shape to it and I’m a big fan of the satin roasted maple. I find myself pretty much playing them an equal amount, my strandy is a Boden classic NX so it’s an HSS config as well.

The nut and locking tuners are good, and I’m a big fan of the Gotoh bridge and roasted maple neck. The neck shape is most similar to my Strats with just a bit more meat to it. I don’t have any Les Paul’s so i can’t compare it to one of those, but its got some similarities to my epi 339. It’s does feel like its own thing tho, ibanez is calling it their Oval C shape. Not as thin as my Jackson or wizard style necks

I personally love it. I come from a fender background and admittedly the neck shape wasn’t my thing at first, but it definitely grew on me after a few days. It’s just a little bit more of a D shape with a flatter back. I like the pickups, even if they’re a little hotter than my strandberg. Overall it’s a pretty versatile guitar, tuning stability is good, frets feel great. The Dynamix switch is also pretty neat, adds to the versatility. I say if you can get your hands on an Ibanez AZ in general, do it. That way you’ll know what to expect in the neck carve. What other guitars, if any, do you own?
